My car stops or shakes violently when I come to a complete stop after going 15 miles or more at a speed of 75 or greater. What can possibly be the problem?

If it dies like a manual transmission car when you don't disengage the clutch, it could be a faulty torque converter.

What's your problem?1995 yamaha virago 1100 that sometimes you you put into gear and immediately dies

The Clutch on some bikes will disengage the starter motor. Yamaha will not allow you to engage gear when the side stand is down. Hope this gives you some idea

1992chevcaviler torque converter solinoyd will not un lock converter

The torque converter clutch solenoid on the GM 125 transmission will stick when it gets hot and not let the torque converter clutch disengage. It has to be replaced. It is under the side cover. Quite simple to replace once the cover is off. The side cover however is fairly difficult to remove (usually involves dropping the left side of the transaxle).

Are there codes in the transmission computer? Likely the torque converter clutch is not disengaging or a holding member with the transmission could not be releasing. this could be caused by a faulty shift solenoid or a mechanical failure with the transmission. Check to ensure the transmission shift properly under all conditions. Also, stall test the torque converter, put it in gear hold the brakes firm and throttle the engine. Generally the torque converter will stall out around or above 2,000 rpm. If it stalls out much lower, check the torque converter clutch solenoid for proper operation.

Again, check the transmission computer for codes. You will need an advanced OBD1 scan tool which can communicate like a hikock scan tool ( ford factory for that era)

How do i disengage the torque controller on the makita bga452

The bga 452 is a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder. I take it you have a cordless drill with clutch> You can disengage it by turning it all the way to drill, it will no longer clutch, the clutch is for driving screws, they won't strip. The lower the number the lower the torque. Hope this helps.

1999 Buick Park Ave Ultra Service Engine Light Code #P0742

The code PO742 indicates the torque converter clutch is stuck on.
The torque converter is what connects the engine to the transmission.
It engages and disengages according to signals from the pcm, to aid in
smooth shifting. There are a couple of things you can try. make sure trans. fluid is full, if thats ok check the 20 pin connector, located on left
side of car on top of transmission bell housing. Make sure there's no
corrosion or bent pins. If this clears the code your all set, if not you may
want to ask your mechanic and see what he/she recomends.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
