Question about HP Officejet Pro L7780 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I have just changed laptops and connected the printer. It is recognised but all I get is a yellow error triangle. i have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions but it still won't print anything.

HP Officejet Pro L7780 Drivers
I think the drivers are not installed on the new system. Please visit the above link from HP Official Support. Select the Operating System (e.g Windows XP OR Windows7 32-bit) that you have on your PC. Download the drivers/ Software and install them by following the on-screen instructions.

Keep getting blue screens / crash dumps. ! inside triangle warning for on the Mass Storage Device and PCI Simple COms controller as well.


The simple coms driver should be a modem or a basic lan card.
In device manager are your network cards all listed?

Is a modem listed, if there is not and you have an rj11 port on board that will be the simple comms device


As for the mass storage device, what do you gave connected to the computer. My PC occassionally had trouble recognising my printer as a printer because it had a card reading slot. I think my windows installation was not in great shape which was the cause of the issue.
Disconnect everything and see if that resolves the issue. If it does try recovering your windows installation to an earlier date. It is just a matter of systematic investigation

How do i fix setup.exe has stopped working


I ran into a similar problem with an"uninstall" in the past. It seemed that the function removed some critical part of my laptop program. I was at a loss and someone suggested that I use the "restore to an earlier time" feature on my laptop. It worked for me. Go to START and search for RESTORE......... Just put in the date prior to installing the software for your Brother printer. Hope this helps.

How to get rid of the yellow triangle


The yellow triangle means there is an https error. (https:// means the website is secure, while http:// denotes the connection is not secure). If you right click on the triangle it will give you a breakdown of what is causing the error.

Printer won't work. Keeps coming up offline. Printer is plugged in, and I have rebooted.


Try a new USB cable and a different USB port. If you are using a USB hub or print server, try a direct connection. Try a known working device to check if the USB ports are working. Make sure the USB ports are active. For Windows check in the Device Manager (Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System for Win7; only slight differences for older versions of Windows). Scroll down to the Universal Serial Bus section and expand it. If you see a red x in a or a yellow exclamation point in a triangle for the USB, try to update the driver. Another place to check is the Advanced Power Saving Settings from the Screen Saver - turning of ports saves battery life for laptops and can be enabled for desktops as well.

Next are there any errors indicated on the printer (blinking lights) and if it is powered up. If there are errors, see the Troubleshooting section of your manual (or the Canon support site). You can try resetting the printer by unplugging it (printer and then outlet) and removing the data cable (from both the printer and the computer). Wait a few minutes and then reconnect.

I hope this helps. If you provide more information after trying the above, I'll try to provide additional trouble-shooting ideas.

Printer won't recognise new ink cartridges and correct itself.


Hi..
try to reset the machine.
disconnect the usb and power cable...and press and hold down the power button for 45 seconds and then reconnect all the cables and try again...
or try to clean the print heads...still does not work...could be an issue with print sensors..needs to be replaces.

Cyan ink tank not recognised


I phoned Canon Tech Support Center this morning. They had me replace the ink tank giving me the U150 error code and are sending me a replacement tank. HOPEFULLY this will solve the problem.
