Blows out mist when sucking up water

You have to keep the sponge like filter in, it collects that mist and drips inside.

Condensation dripping from ceiling in all electric home with no basement

The wall of the daughter's bedroom is NOT insulated. Moisture from normal activities (showering and cooking) within the house are causing the realtive humidity to be above 50%. When that moisture enters the wall or ceiling, the temperature drops below the dewpoint and condenses out. The moisture that condenses makes a nice environment for the growth of black mold which is highly toxic. The mold will spread by airborne spores. If you have return air ducts for your HVAC system in the room, the spores might be dispersed throughout the entire house, depending on how good you HVAC filter is. Note that if you have a swamp cooler on the roof, it could be leaking water through the ceiling and causing the problem.

You need to immediately move you daughter to another room and remediate the situation -- tear out all the drywall and anything that is damp or has signs of visible mold. Get the humidity in ther house below 50% with a dehumidifier. I would recommend the Winix 50-pint model (refer to link below). This will condition 1500 square feet, which is a lot, but you will need one on each floor.

6 yr old Aqualisa shower working perfectly well. But turned itself on last night. No light showing on dial/on switch. Wouldn't turn "off" for me. Ran for 15mins and then switched off!

Good Aternoon lrmulholland,

Do you know what model Aqualisa shower you have or are you able to take a photo of it for us? That would be very useful.

Kind Regards,

We have the water hooked up at the back of machine. there is a spout for the water to come in and fill the ice tray.but is does not. If we turn the water on it fills up the space under the ice basket. I...

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
With the fill tube blocked with ice the water can drip down the back wall or drip into the ice bin or just stop up. You can use a hairdryer to thaw the tube out.

Do I keep the filter in when sucking up water?

you dont have to but its a good idea to leave it and dry it afterwards by letting it drip dry in sun after shaking it out. They should offer a foam sleeve part similar to what is used in canister steam cleaners...keeping an extra filter on hand is a good idea

Keeps turning off during use

Sounds like poor electrical contact between the base and the bag compartment. If you separate the base from the bag compartment (press the button at bottom front of bag compartment, then pull or lever the two apart) you will see the electrical contacts - they may need cleaning, or perhaps bending VERY SLIGHTLY to help make proper contact. Otherwise, something in that same area may be damaged and need repair. Good luck!
