Hi, well you have a fault that is stopping the PSU from turning ON, you see the PSU has protection circuitry that detects any potential faults, that may cause damage or even an explosion, and this then shuts down the PSU, and prevents it from turning ON and powering up, until the "Fault" is removed. This fault is on some other board, this MUST be so, as, if you have replaced the PSU and it still will not work, then it is unlikely that two supplies would be faulty. (A note here, one must also be careful to try and find the fault, or often when a new PSU is connected up, it is immediately destroyed, or damaged, and one can go round in circles if a "Know Good" isn't introduced to start with and worked on out from there. As I teach my students, "Check, are your voltages correct?" always check the PSU Voltages at the sources, and try to locate the faulty "Rail" and work back along it until the fault is found.
It isn't prudent to simply replace boards parts components sort of ad hoc, one must first find the exact cause, and the repair any damage, there, and any damage done.
To even have a shot at a successful repair one simply must obtain a service manual, for your exact make and model, and then work through the troubleshooting procedures to attempt to isolate the exact problem.
However if you don't wish to DIY, then it is my professional recommendation, you should get a "Quote" for repair, from, an, Approved Service Center. Now, this point is very important for a good result, Always contact, their "Local" or a, "Head Office", ask them, for a referral to an authorised servicing center, where you first ask for a "Quote". Now, when you get the information you want, then you can decide as to repair of replacement.

I have an Alba 32947HD TV. It was totally dead. The PSU board was faulty. I have replaced the PSU & now the standby light flashes - sometimes slowly, sometimes faster. There is no sound & no pictur

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, [Exclude the model number] in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Hi
The electrolitic capacitors are trickery: sometimes they look like fine but its capacitance has gone. The actual test is to replace them if you have not a capacitance meter to test them. Another approach is to check the Dual Schottky diode for leakage. It looks like insulated transistor and is screwed on a heatsink.

It seems that your unit has some sort of Video side, PSU fault, or a problem to the Video section that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. It is the sound that gives it away. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur. It is probably the PSU.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

No powerr

If the led comes on for an instant and then faints quickly, leaving the TV with no led, no blink code, and no power at all, then the fault is usually concerning the PSU board, or the power connection. If you already replaced the cable, the next step is looking for bad solder joints on power cord connector, and then testing and eventually replacing PSU board.

I would try to replace the PSU and see if that makes your computer boot. Do like a guess and check. If its not the PSU, maybe try a new motherboard. Does the computer not boot, or does it beep when turned on? I hope this helps solve your problem

Hi
Problem is probably PSU REGULATOR, STRF6668B.
I wouldnt recomend you repairing this yourself as there may be other components that will require checking.
You could end up blowing the replacement regulator.
