SOURCE: need instruction manual to set up my pump for intex easy set up

The correct website is intexstore.com
on the right side, about half way down the page there is a blue box that says instructional set up video and manuals. You then click on pumps and on your model, and you can open it there.

SOURCE: Problems with Intex Krystal Clear Model 635 Pool Filter Pump 1500

No, the pump should not be noisy. It sounds like you have picked up a foreign object in the pump housing. you may have to pull the face off to determine. OR the pump/motor is indeed defective and should be returned.

SOURCE: Intex pump 635 is a P.O.S.! How do I hook up a different pump?

I just left the standard intex connection on the pool and I cut the standard connection off of the filter side and I slid the hose over the top of a 1 1/2 pipe and put 2 stainless steel hose clamps over them and it worked fine

SOURCE: Need Intex Pump model #635 impeller

You know, I have made some amazing repairs on plastic items using nothing more than a soldiering iron! If you have the piece that broke off, you can carefully melt it back together. You can add more to the weld if you match the type of plastic but not too much or you imbalance it. In this case it looks like PVC. To repair it without the missing piece, form it out of epoxy putty, roughly shape it just before it sets up solid, & sand to finish.

SOURCE: How do I hook my 633T intex pump to my 15'x42

I have a 16 x 48 intex pool with the 1inch inlet and outlet. I purchased the intex 4000 pump. The attachments are too big for the inlet and outlet so i then purchased the adapters through Intex corp.com. The plungers that come with the pump are very noisy and allow air to get into the pump. I removed them and hooked the hoses up to the adapters directly. That worked as long as the adapters were new. This year the seal comes loose and allows air to get into the pump. I even tried allowing the top nut to be loose to allow air to escape. This year nothing works. The pump is just too strong for the holes. I was considering cutting the holes bigger and glueing seals on there but i was concerned about creating weak spots in the pool. I am tired of spending money on it so i did the redneck thing. I can say that because well, you might consider me one. I took the inlet hose off the connector and plugged the hole with one of those little black things. I took the hose and run it up through the hole in between the liner and the poles and down into the pool. If you run it over the top it will not work correctly. Take the hose and tie them together between the two sides as best you can to keep the hose in the pool. If you look at the smaller intex pools that dont have holes, that is how they have the pump hooked to the pool. VOILA! You have an airtight inlet to the pump. You do not need to do that to the outlet because its not sucking water its just pushing it. So, just hook the hose up as you wish. When you need to clean the filter, I put wash clothes in the hoses to plug them and voila. No air gets into the filter. Done! It is actually keeping my pool clean this year. Also, i purchased one of those aqua vacuums and it does work great for this pool. Once you get the big stuff, sweep it with a pool broom and the filter will do its job. You can vacuum these pools with the filter type pumps. Next time, i will purchase a sand filter and be done with it. Happy swimming with less work

I just got a intex pool and it was given to me so I have no instructions. What all chemicals do I need to put in it and does the pump need to run while filling it up?

don't run the pump until the pool is full. You should buy some test strips and test the water . The strips will tell you what your low on. You will need chlorine for sure and probably some shock

If you have the pump connected as it shows in this picture, then you are all set. The water will run thru the filyer and be cleaned. You also need to test the water with a test kit to see what chemicals need to be added to maintain the Ph, alkalinity, ans chlorine levels.

How do I hook my 633T intex pump to my 15'x42" pool? The strainers do not attach to the black things inside the pool.

We just cut the holes bigger in the side of the pool, it works great now. Just got to make sure you do not cut it to big! I do nnot understand why they can"t make it standard.

Hope this helps!!!!!!

Same as others with Krystal clear model 635 pump.

We too have an Intex pool and opted to not waste money on their pumps which arent adequate enough to properly filter the pool. We bought a nice sand filter system off a great seller on amazon for $305 delivered. (DO NOT BUY "GAME" system for intex pools, my sister bought one and has had nothing but problems and just bought 5 weeks ago).

We are very happy with the results from our Waterway sand filter system. We did not have to buy any adapters to fit it to our pool. And it keeps the water perfect! We have an 18' x 52 metal frame pool. If you intend on using your pool for years, I recommend buying a sand filter system. It is more expensive than replacing the intex pump, but you will be much happier with the sand filter system.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Currently have a filter pump that hangs on side of pool. want to purchase a larger (1500gph)pump. these all sit on ground

I recommend upgrading to sand filter system. You can get a good one from Amazon seller for $305.00 delivered. Pump made by Waterway. (we are very pleased with ours). The intex pumps just aren't sufficient for the pools they come supplied with IMO. It's a little more pricey than upgrading an Intex pump, but so worth it.

I hope this has helped. Good luck!
