In that case, I would uninstall edata and that should solve your problem.

MY NOKIA 5130-C 2 MEMORY CARD IS ASKING FOR PASSWORD AFTER RESTORING IT .MY CELL IMEI NO. IS 353409045379688. PLEASE HELP ME

Multi media cards (MMC) or simply memory cards have been a very essential part in mobile phones off late. People who have high resolution mobile phones or people who use their mobile phones as a pen drive essentially require a MMC that has the space to store those files. Worried about the security of the cards, they try to protect it behind a password. The problem with password for a MMC card is very huge. In case you forget the password, all you can do is throw it in a dustbin and buy another. You may try to format the whole card using a computer which sometimes may not be possible due to some important files stored in it. And even if you dare to format it anyway, an error appears on the desktop, saying 'you do not have enough permission's to format'.
What if someone mischievously kept a password for your MMC without your notice?
If you use a Nokia mobile, fortunately, you have an application which can find your previous forgotten password or lost password. You may have heard of 'FExplorer'.
It can be used to go through (Search) your disk and see your lost password.
Just Download the application, transfer it to your phone and install it.
Once installed, go to 'C' disk and then click on the 'system' folder. Scroll down to find 'mmcstore' and open it using the editor (click on options -> file ->Editor/Viewer).
There you go, your saved password is right in front of you which made you mad all these days.
Note: This method only works when the 'phone memory' has not been formatted since the password is lost.

My laptop is reading the pen drive, opening and operating all files but i'm not able to transfer any file to pen drive, although i can transfer files from pendrive to desktop. kindly provide the solution...

if there is no security password or write protect switch (this would be a small switch on the side of the pen drive) then it may be your pc not allowing cut and paste transfer. Try right-clicking on the file you wish to move to the pen drive, click "copy" then right click the pen drive icon and click"paste" this would copy the file to the drive instead of moving it. Moving the file is effectively, copying it to the drive and deleting the origional and if the origional has password or other forms of increased security/priority the pc won't allow it to be deleted or moved.
good luck.

The eData security management of my acer aspire 5315 has got removed while formatting the system. My encrypted files have thus become inaccessible. What do I do to be able to access them again? Also I am...

#1
Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

I lose my password edata security acer and supervisor password what can i do without lose files ?

There is a program that you can run called Ophcrack Live CD. It is a free download. This should crack the password, and if not, there is another free program you can get called killdisk which can read files on the hard drive without a password if you are not using a data encryption software. Both can be found by doing a quick Google search.

Acer 5920 Edata Security problem

Hi there.

There is possibly something still in your registry. Go to http://onecare.live.com/site/en-gb/default.htm

If you are running XP, click on Full Service Scan, if you are running Vista, then click on the beta version. This is a Safety Scanner from Microsoft, that will run a varied range of scans, including cleaning the registry. Once this has finished, reboot, and then try to install eDataSecurity.

Let me know you get on.

How to save folders containing files onto a memory stick

using a pen drive is not a tough job

just plug it in to the usb port and wait for a few seconds
*you will see a baloon tip saying found new hardware
*wait untill it says device installion complete
*reboot if neccessary

now go to my computer
*you will see a new drive in it(it is your usb pen drive)
*double click to open it

you can acces it like your normal hard drive partiitions

if you want to copy something to your pen drive then

*right click on the file or folder
*select the option "send to"
*your pen drive will be listed in it
*click on the name of your pen drive
*wait for copying to finish

after that go to my computer open the pen drive and see if the file is copied

you can also delete the files in your pen drive

*select the file
*press delete in the keyboard

files deleted from pen drives dont reach recycle bin

Most of the time this means there is a problem with the filesystem or possibly bad sectors on the hard drive. If you are running windows 2000, XP, or Vista, follow these steps:

Click on Start, go to Run, type in "cmd". In the command prompt, type "chkdsk C: /r /f"

That will tell chkdsk (Check Disk) to fix the filesystem and locate/repair any bad sectors. It won't be able to run while you are using the computer, so it will ask to run on the next startup. Be sure to say yes, then restart the computer and let chkdsk run.

As for why it happens on system startup is a little more bothersome. Unless you are trying to delete something, I would suggest getting and running Spybot Search & Destroy and if you don't have any antivirus, AVG Free (http://free.grisoft.com). Both are free and quite effective.
