The most common reason for this is that the lid is not fully seated on the dirty water tank. Be sure to hook the lid in front, and then snap it in place at the rear. Another problem could be that the duct is missing from the front of the tank. The duct is removed to install the hose assembly, and may not have been put back in place. It is a square plastic piece, about the size of a slice of sandwich bread, which slides into the front of the tank. A less common problem is that the round rubber seal that the tank sits on has fallen of the motor cover suction tube. Look beneath the tank for the missing seal.

My hoover max extract dual v stopped sucking up the water on just its second use. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

The most likely problem is there is a restriction somewhere or a suction leak. Check to make sure you have good suction where the waste water tank fits down onto the machine. Make sure the lid is on the waste water tank and follow the flow of suction from the machine through the waste tank down to the floor and look for debris clogs or any area where there may be a suction leak. If you have good suction coming from the machine the problem has to be somewhere between there and where the water is being sucked off of the floor.

Have a hoover model F5914-900 it wont spray anything out the hose attachment. The line isn't clogged any ideas?

Yes, one thing to try: With the hose attached, place your hand over the suction opening at the pick-up end of the hose. Then pull the trigger. The pump is suction driven, and if there is air in the water line in the hose, that is known to allow th hose to prime in about 10 to 15 seconds.

Wont suction the water

the suction channel is probably clogged.the suction channel goes right up the middle ,you can see it by looking through the cover.probably a lot of hair and dirt stuck up inside.there are some screws on the botton you need to take out then the cover will come off.seperate the 2 pieces of plastic and you will be able to clean the channel.please leave feedback

Have a Hoover SteamVac with 5 brushes and it will not suck up any water and I have cleaned all the brushes but it still wont pick up any water

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Part of the problem is with your holding tank, there is a rubber gasket that seals the unit to pup the water and if that gasket is cracked or missing it will not pup. Also there could be something wrong with the suction motor or the Hoover SteamVac may be clogged and will not pup the water, if there is a way to say back track the suction then follow the suction back to the suction motor and if you see a clog – remove it. Otherwise you may have a bad suction motor and it would need replacing as a last resort. If the Hoover SteamVac is less than one year factory warranty it would be covered under the Hoover factory warranty and then feel free to contact the local Hoover Factory Authorized Dealer in your area, so call the cust serv @ Hoover and they can direct you to a dealer that would cover this under warranty. So, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

It has been cleaned , yet there is no suction the hoover wont pick hardly anything up & it gets hot very quickly

Then there most be a clog either in the hose or the dirt inlet by the brush roll. If you pull the hose off like you are going to use an attachment, is there suction there. If not, then the problem is in the hose. If there is suction, then the problem is down below,

Hoover 3010 FloorMate Plus not dispensing liquid

With the tank off, can you see if the rod in the handle is hitting the spot where the tank sits on, if not then there is a problem in the handle. If it is, then the reservior asm may be bad, it is what the tank sits on.

Hoover agility wont suck

There are 2 filters and if either one gets clogged, it will not suck up the water. One is from the bottom, it is red, pull it out far enough to clean it. The other one is behind the dirty water tank, remove the tank and you can see it on the wall covering the inlet for the suction. Clean it off, you should have suction now.

Hoover Agility, No Suction!!!

I had the same problem. Lower the handle to the floor and check the black spiral suction hose at the neck of the machine. The lower hose in my Hoover split. Check and see if yours has done the same thing. If so, the lower suction hose will have to be replaced. Hope this helps.
