Your post did not give enough details, but I would bet that the watchband has a pair of "pinch grips" on the side opposite the chronograph dial, (face of the watch.) With your thumb and forefinger, pinch the edges of the exposed spring and your watch should open easily. Hope this helps.

How to remove stainless steel wrist band on a marc

You should find a couple of pins buried away at the watch side of the strap. These are spring loaded and hold the strap in place using tension.
Simply put the watch face down on something soft, the clips should be visible at the corners of the strap and take some needle nose pliers or small flat screwdriver and push inward from one of the outer edges. This will squash the spring and enable you to remove the strap.

How do I open my gucci watch to change batteries?

Get a #0 1.6mm precision Phillps screwdriver (these are brittle) or similarly strong, thin piece of steel.

Hold the watch upside-down across your index finger while gripping the straps tightly between your index finger and thumb on one side, and index finger and middle finger on the other (ie. squeeze the strap around your index finger).

On the underside of the watch, stick the tip of the screwdriver under a square slot where the watchband is connected at an angle perpendicular to the strap. Firmly pry upwards on the cover on one side, then the other, until the cover pops off.

The battery is a Renata 379.

To put the cover back on, align the square slots precisely with the ends of the straps (keep these out straight), then firmly push the cover straight down until it "snaps" shut.
