You have some thing wrong in your driver remove and re-install or re-install windows

Video Cards Nvidia from 7 model to 9 GTX


Hello people at Fixya!
Sometime we buy one of those video cards, like Nvidia, but not really knows, for what uses we actually need it! well , let me tell you these, from those 7 to 9 gtx model, you don't really need more than those ones for almost all kind of games. you name it! well the tips are, for good gaming!
1) Compatibility OS . 64bits or 32bit ( I prefer 32bit) for some compatibilties!
2) RAM, yes, it is some hungry games, more RAM more space!
3) Drive space, You going to need it, and a good swapfile sometimes.!
4) Video Drivers, The heart of all games issues, try to use the one that came with your video card, if all goes fine, KEEP IT! but if not use the latest version .
sometimes we need to do a research, for drivers that don't hurt the performance, graphic card, or bad writen drivers. be carefull on these one.
some drivers, may harmfull your graphic card, or overheat! giving you errors, or dreaded BSODs, or "Display driver NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver stopped responding and successfully recovered!! things like that, indeed some are relative to these error or bad driver. (usually).
My advice: always do a good research for good drivers, PSUs, and cooling system! very important points in gaming!

Error: "Display driver stopped responding & has recovered.


I too was suffering this problem of the kernel driver stopping responding and restarting. ii have the GeForce 6800 GT card and what I found the problem was, was the capacitors on the card had blown open. 1500uf 6.3v, not just one or two but all four. I replaced them and card and drivers are now working okay.

Hello !
This system-halt message occurs when a process (in kernel-mode and not user mode) or driver tried to access a memory address to which it did not have permission. The most common cause is an incorrect or corrupted pointer that references an incorrect address in the memory.
When this occurs in a user-mode application, it generates an access violation. When it occurs in kernel mode, it generates a STOP 0x0000000A message. If you encounter this error while upgrading to a newer version of Windows, it might be caused by a device driver, a system service, a virus scanner, or a backup tool that is incompatible with the new version.
This error usually occurs after the installation of a buggy device driver, system service, or BIOS. To resolve it quickly, restart your computer, and press F8 at the character-mode menu that displays the operating system choices. Choose the "Last Known Good Configuration" option. This option is most effective when only one driver or service is added at a time.
Usually, from my experience this rarely happens, but it is a buggy DRIVER installed by you.
Get back with more details please if it still happens. (Tip : Try to re-install all drivers using the manufacturer's website).

I installed a new hard drive and the video and sound drivers did not get installed. I downloaded them from Gateway but I lost video completely until I started in safe mode then deleted Invidia then screen...


This is caused by the installation of the wrong video driver.
Check the video driver for your model computer before you download it and make sure it is the XP or Vista version that matches the version of Windows that is installed on your computer.
