The inverter could still be bad and if so it probably won't last long.
Chances are it is not the lamps as there are more than one and it would be odd if they all burned out at the same time. If just one lamp went out you would notice one side of the screen being dimmer than the other (side or top/bottom). It could also be a bad connection to the inverter or the power to the inverter could be low.
In any case I am sure the inverter is the cause, wether it be a connection/power problem or simply going bad.
