My hp probook 4520s mouse pad locked what can i do

Hello,

There is a touchpad lock on this laptop. When the lock is activated, you should see a yellow/orange light on the touchpad. Simply tap twice where the light is and the touchpad will be unlocked.

Hope it helps.

My hp 4520s probook's mouse pad got locked accidentally, and it's not unlocking by double tapping on the light button on the mouse pad. please help me with this asap.

First, try double tapping the light again. You may have just mis-tapped.

Next try restarting the laptop. Certain laptops re-enable the track pad on restart so long as a USB mouse isn't connected.

If that fails, navigate to the Mouse Settings on your PC and re-enable it there. If you have a USB mouse you can use that. If not, you can use the keyboard. Windows Key will launch the Start Menu, arrow keys can highlight options, Enter will click on them, Control+Tab and Control+Shift+Tab will switch tabs (in a window that has tabs).

In Windows XP and 7 (and probably Vista), Mouse Settings is located at Control Panel > Mouse > Settings.

The mouse pad of our computer is not working how can u fix this problem?????????????////

Depending on what kind of laptop you have, there are generally have a button that enables the
mouse pad. Most of the time, it sits just above the mouse pad. The other thing you can check is to use your windows button to open the start menu, use your pointer keys to navigate to control panel, then to the mouse icon. Make sure you mouse pad pointer device is selected on the bottons tab and the device settings tab.

You can also try a restart, using the same windows button and the pointer keys to select restart to see if this will reset your mouse pad. If this does not work, look at the two suggestions above.

If you found this information helpful, please remember to leave positive feedback.

Thank You,

Brian
