Question about Samsung TXM3096WHF 30" TV

Open Question

My samsung txm3096whf model Tube HDTV has as a fuzzy distortion line that only appears on HD channels. It doesn't appear at any particular time but just seems to show up randomly on certain channels. Do describe it even more it's about a 1-2" thick line that stretches the entire length of the screen and distorts the picture just in that one area. This will happen for about several seconds and only does so when 1080i is selected as the component output. If I select 480p I do not have this problem at all. Does anyone have an Idea? Thank you.

Just bought the Samsung 550 Plasma Hd Tv can you tell me if we just use a regular cable from the wall to the Tv will the picture quality be sort of off.. WE have an HM MI cable from the cable box to the TV...

unfortunately cable does not give you the best quality picture and "fuzziness ' is the reduced resolution being displayed on the tv.
the easy way to check the picture quality is to get a decent hd antenna and scan using it for free hdtv signals, if these are also fuzzy, on all channels then the tv has a problem but if it is only on a few lower resolution channels then its just the way it is until everyone is hd 720 or better.

Near the bottom edge of the screen on my Wega KF-50WE 610 has appeared a ''blue haze'' that appears after the TV has warmed up. It started a few days ago as ''fuzzy blue dots'' about the size of silver...

This was caused by a defect in the optical block of the TV. It will only get worse with time and the only way to fix it is to replace the whole optical block which is very expensive (over $1000 usually) and time consuming (you need to take the whole TV apart). However, since it was a defect, there was a class action lawsuit that caused Sony to extended the warranties for certain models on the optical block for parts and labor. Call Sony to see if your model was one of the ones they extended the warranty for.

Aspect ratio problems on Samsung LN-S2651D Flat Panel TV

The aspect ratio (zoom) button on the cable remote had been changed. On Brighthouse the # button toggles through the zoom settings. It's not a tv issue, it's a cable fix.

check your sharpness setting, it should be very low and even in the negatives possibly on a plasma. I was told the sharpness option was for crt tube tv's anyway
