Mitsubishi vs-60607 code 24

Hi Ekse,

I have a mitsubishi vs 60607 rear projection tv. It stop working and give me the error code 24. I replaced ic451. However, the problem is still the same. The voltages indicated in the power supply circuitry block diagrams are kind a off. 5.2 V at D970, 25.4 V at R974, 12 V at D974, 9.9 V at D972, no voltage at pin 1 of IC952, no voltage at pin 3 of IC935. What should I looking for at this point.

Thanks,

Ben

Here are the two top reasons that can cause the 60607 to throw a 23 or 24 code. Check these items then let me know what you find.
1. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.

What it probably is not is a problem in the power supply board. I ordered an entire new part #930B910001, installed it, and that did not fix the problem. I'm starting to think evenb Mitsubishi repair service people do not know how to fix the problem.

If you do not have any voltage at IC952 check D971 or R912 and R913 for defective condition, pin 5 of K905 should give you some voltage reading once is ON.
No voltage at pin 3 of IC935 might indicate that is defective, measure the voltage at pin one of IC935; you should get about 9-10 volts.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

My mitsubishi vs 60607 big screen will not come on...green timer light comes on then off....tried holding down menu and input buttons and the code it gives me is 2 flashes and then 4 flashes...what does...

The 2,4 error code means a problem in the Vertical circuit.

This could (due to the age of the set) be bad solder connections at the vertical output chip or a part bad anywhere in the circuit.

Problem is in Vertical circuit.

If this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Mitsubishi vs 60607 circuit board

this isn't a notorious problem. many problems can cause this. the instant on/off behavior just says there is one of many fuses blown in the television. you can't just replace the fuse, when it fails get a failure code find out what it means and repair the problem. I would recommend paying someone to do it if you don't want to trash your mits set.
to get the code you hold down the menu and input button for 5 seconds after the on/off sequence. it is a 2 digit code with a pause inbetween, example 2 pause 2 pause 2 pause etc. is a 2.2 code

I've worked on a few of these sets and have found C2P08 to cause something like rolling bars in the picture and have found C2P05 to cause lines jumping in the picture.
