Question about Miele Novotronic Premier 500 Front Load Washer

No power on my 1918

My front loader shows no power. It did this a few weeks ago and then fixed itself somehow. Unfortunately, this time the problem seems permanent. I checked the circuit box and nothing seems amiss. I called Miele and the guy would give me no solution except to have a service call. The guy was kind of rude which is what I have experienced in the past calling their tech support. Sometimes tech support is very nice and gives advice understanding everyone is not a millionaire who buys their product and other times they treat you like a ninny. This will be my 2nd service call in 7 years. Overall I like the cleaning ability of my machine, but I would not buy one again.

The other expert suggest trying another appliance in the outlet but no other appliance has that style of plug. Is there anyway to check whether an outlet is working? I've already checked the circuits, power line, etc. The machine appears undamaged on its panel. At no point was there smoke, etc. It just stopped working.

Not clear what the second suggestion was saying. I clicked the link and it took me to Edison's website. The washing machine has been plugged into the same outlet for 6 1/2 years.

This can be a problem with the power outlet where the unit is plug in for more that 6 years or the power supply of the unit itelsf why the other experts suggested you to try connecting this unit to another power outlet but the problem is the plug is different so you cannot test it, if you can borrow a transformer or a AVR from your friend which I believe you can plug this unit on it just to check if the unit will power on..

Good luck........

No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

Check the power cable and the connection on the back... Also check to see if the control boards on the control panel have any scorch marks.. and check if any fuses are blown.. have you tried another appliance in the same socket?

ok, just please be sure not to rate as tft if we havent come to a conclusion this hurts our ratings and ends our exchange prematurely , what style plug do you have? are you located in the us? Do you have a multimeter or a (volt meter) you should be ableto measure it that way...

LG wm2655hva front loader won't stay powered up. Initially showed a PF code, now shows 3 dashes. Power button works for 5 seconds & shuts down machine....

Hey Kemp!
  • Unplug the machine and hold the power button to reset.
  • OR TRY Unplugging the washer for 5 minutes to see if it will reset itself.
  • If NOT, you will have to replace the control board to fix the problem.
Best of Luck!

Our electrolux front loader Washing Machine EWF 1083 won't fill with water and there is a humming sound, does anyone know what the problem is ? cheers

Just a long shot - it may be the water inlet filter is blocked? normally there is a little mesh filter in the hose that screws onto the back - check that its not full of crap. This happened to me only a few weeks ago hope its as simple as that for you.

My maytag is making and odd noise on the spin cycle.

The is probably a broken suspension part... on front loaders it would be the shock absorbers located underneath the drum.....remove the bottom part of the front panel to access them...on top loaders it will be a broken spring... these are much harder to access and fix.. the top must be removed and then many times the back and/or sides...hopefully you have a front loader and it is just the shocks...very easy fix then.

Maytag laundry neptune front loader washer MAH6700AWW. It is showing a E3 code error. what can we do for that

Hi, the E3 error means that the control board is detecting current going to the motor, but the motor won't turn properly. If the error code comes up all the time as soon as you press the power on button, then it means your control board is bad and reading incorrectly. If it only happens during a cycle, then you need a new motor unfortunately.

Crack in the bottom of my Kenmore washing machine tub

What is the model number? Is this a front loader or a top loader? To answer your question, yes, the tub can be replaced. You need to take a look at your warranty information to see if this can be replaced at no cost to you. Most manufacturer's warranties cover the first year against any major defects. However, some warranties are extended on certain parts. Something you may consider.

If you post back with your complete model number, I can give you an idea on how much a replacement tub may cost you, and if you have to pursue this on your own...I can give you the steps required to replace the tub.

NOTE: Marine epoxy or plumbers goop may work as a temporary fix in the mean time.

Maytag neptune front loader, model# MAH4000AWW PROBLEM: Water will not fill. First hot stopped working a few months ago, then cold also stopped. We live a long way from nearest repairman, so have put this...

It sounds like you just have a clogged or bad valve. Depending on the water source I have seen many times a load of crud on the screens where the hose meets the valve. Try taking the hoses off making sure their clear, then inspect the inlets to the valve to see if there is a clog. Unfortunately some of this dirt may have entered and fouled the valve itself, in which case it will need replacing.
