Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I think this is what you're after...

**An "F21" error indicates a blocked drain, faulty pump as you obviously know, but can also be caused by the back-flow ball inside the bellows which connects the tub to the pump.**

**Turn off the breaker at the service panel or unplug the washer from the wall socket...safety first**

There is a large clamp which secures it to the tub, but if you remove it to clean out all the dirt built up inside, make sure you get it good and secure when putting it back.

You'll want to look in this bellows for debris or clothing items such as small socks, undergarments etc. which can obstruct the function of the back flow check ball.

    Hello again,

Sorry I should have mentioned "F21" is the same as "F2". All the info applies to both, the errors are just used for differing models.

    Good luck once again.

Error code e21 on frigidaire affinity washer cleaned pumped and ran a rinse cycle it did fine put clothes in to wash it ran for 10 min. then stopped.

Hello Deena,
Error Code e21
means the water is not pumping out fast enough. The most likely reason is because the washer drain filter is clogged.
Here is a solution:
  1. Pull the machine out from the wall.
  2. Then take the panel out in the rear. Once the panel is off you will see the drain pump.
  3. Disconnect the drain Tube between the Tub and the Pump.
  4. Look inside the pipe you will find the Drain Filter.
  5. Clean the filter out ( you will be surprised of "things" found in the filter) then put the machine back together
  6. Try a full cycle.
That should end your problem.
Best of Luck!

F2 fault

F2 is a drain error in your washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display F2. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair.

Hi,

I have a DD603ss Fisher Paykel Dishwasher that will not complete it cycle and stops with a beeping sound and a faucet symbol on the display. The washer itself has hot water in it that will not drain.

Solution

This is telling you that you have a leak ,the sensor is in the bottom of the unit under the drawer, your best bet is to call for service. This unit has to be pulled out and disassembled unless you have some one that is very handy!!

Originally the dishwasher ran for a minute and came up with an F2 message. I removed the basket, blade, and blue component (not sure what it is called) I cleaned them and ensured that the all moved freely but have only placed the blue component back in. The unit progressed more into the cycle but has the above problem referenced above.

Solution

F2 means that your rotor is jammed. If you open the drawer and remove the dishrack, you can pull straight up to remove the wash arm. There is a plastic locking ring in the center of the silver filter plate. Twist this 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and pull the filter up and out. Next is the rotor, turn the rotor 1/4 turn counter-clockwise as well and replace this part because it's not functioning correctly (assuming you don't see something blocking the rotor from moving that you can just remove).
Below is the link to order the same :-

There is a probability that if all of these error message's are there, there is a problem with circuit board. A problem with them could cause multiple error message or displays on the screen, even though there is no such issues. So, this problem has to be collectively inspected and checked before you could order any parts.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

CODE F-21 NOT SPINNING THE WATER OUT when it comes to the rinse cycle . IT MAKES A CLICK SOUND AND STOPS . THEN IT SHOWS CODE F-21

The machine is not spinning the water out because there's a problem with the drain system as the error code indicates. Either the drain hose is clogged or kinked, the pump filter is blocked, the pump impeller is blocked or damaged or the pump itself is not working at all. The click sound may due to a blocked pump impeller.

Disconnect power and the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, remove the filter from the pump housing by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Click on the link below for further troubleshooting should the cleaning of the filter does not resolve the problem.

Stops cycle reads suds or F2

The fault code indicates a draining problem and the display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice. "Sud" code flashes 4 minutes after the pump is turned on and 4 minutes later "F02" flashes. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working.

The washer is giving a code of "F2" & not draining properly.. any idea?

This code indicates a pump issue. First, remove and clean the filter. Then you need to check out the pump.

Whirlpool F2 = Long Drain error code.
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and “F/02” is flashed.
Press, PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the "F2 error code" will be displayed.

Potential Causes:
(1) Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
(2) Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
(3) Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.

Getting an F 02 error code with my Kenmore Elite HE 3T

Your filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and other stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 screws. The panel will drop and come off. The filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels and unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in.

Filter cleaned, re-set computer, still F2 error

Based upon your description, the drain pump has either failed or become clogged.
To check the pump, remove the bottom access panel (three screws along the bottom panel). There you will find access to the pump clean-out.(Large,white screw cap) BE READY TO CATCH LOTS OF WATER. CAREFULLY AND S_L_O_W_L_Y unscrew the pump clean-out, catching and discarding the water. When the water flow finally stops, completely remove the clean-out filter. Inspect the clean-out filter, the drain hose from the tub as well as inside the pump impeller for any additional debris.

Kenmore Elite H3t washer

What a blessing to find others with the same exact problem. Had a call in to Kenmore service center and was having to wait 8 days till a repair man could show up. Service call would have been at least $110 for the man to show up at the door. After discovering this website my wife and I are proud to announce that we found two (our 2 year olds) socks and one of my wife's nursing pads clogging up the filter along with some thread and a little gunk. Cleaned it out and in 10 minutes from start to finish we were done. Ran the machine twice and find it is running just like new. Like other postings here we found that a 45 minute wash took 90 minutes because the machine never could spin out on the first try. We thought it had problems balancing out the load of wash. Now it spins out quickly and without wasting time. I think of how much extra money it cost us to run the machine like this. Also, while we were sitting in our laundry room admiring the return of our washer I took a look at our complimentary Kenmore Elite HE3t dryer. Everyone who reads this far please do the following:
1. Unscrew the bottom panel of the dryer (unplug machine first)
2. Unscrew the black metal chute that goes from the lint catcher down to the blower (two sheet metal screws) pullout and clean.
3. Unscrew entire lint catcher from inside. (5 screws total) and clean.
4. Reinstall
5. One more step to really get all the lint includes pulling the entire machine out and removing the outside vent from the base of the machine. There is a 2 foot pipe to be cleaned out that extends from the other side of the blower.

I could not believe how much lint had bypassed the lint screen and had created a wall in front of the blower. I had previously checked the vent pipe leading to the outside wall and found no buildup whatsoever so I figured everything was okay. Was I ever wrong. I had found that the dryer (which is only 4 and 1/2 years old) was now taking 59 minutes to dry at normal temp instead of
the 41 minutes to dry when we first bought the machine. After I performed this service the dryer was back to drying the clothes in 41 minutes time or even less!!! In the future I will do this service, as described above, on a yearly basis. Once again we were wasting energy because we did not do this simple maintenance.
