Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. Hello experts! How do I convert movies from WMV to the format supported by a Phillips Gogear vibe Mp3 player(smv), without downloading any foreign software? What can Rhapsody do, if anything?

You can't. You need to install a program that can convert video files to another format to another that suits your MP3 player.
There are commercial programs as well as freeware programs on the Internet.
I suggest you Google search for these programs.

Philips Go Gear MP3/Video Player 2 GB (Model SA3125)

The Phillips Go Gear is not compatible to Windows Vista, and there is nothing one can download to make it compatible. I contacted Phillips, and they said that there are no plans to update the software so that it works on Vista. Pass this to everyone that is having a similar problem. Contact Phillips on their website, and request that the Phillips Go Gear software be updated to include Windows Vista. If more people raise a stink (especially threatening never to buy Phillips products), maybe something will be done.
