Is this icemaker mounted on the side wall or in the front? Does it have a bail arm or does it use optics. Is the icebucket in the door? I know this icemaker and I can help you with a little more clarification. Also if the icemaker is bad, I can tell you where to get a replacement in your area for $50.

I have a Maytag fridge model # PSB2151GRW without the ice maker , there is a steady build up of ice on the bottom shelf of the freezer and a puddle of water on the floor ...

Ok so here comes the fun part. Unplug the frig! Two people due this much faster. Remove all food and shelves from freezer. Get ya some bath towels place them on the floor and some on the bottom of the freezer. Take 2 coffee cups and heat them for 3 minutes. Remove them and remember they are hot! Pour a cup of hot water where the ice is and let the towel soak up any water. Now fill that up and heat for 2 minutes now. Pour the other cup on the ice and keep rotating until the ice is gone you will see the drain hole which is going to have ice down that tube so keep pouring hot water until the water drains into the drain pan below. If you can't clear the drain tube use compressed air or a turkey baster can help out too. Wipe down the inside of freezer walls to eliminate the condensation now your ready to party... Don't forget to plug the unit back in the outlet!

Frigidaire Model # GLRS267dzw2 ice maker isn't filling up with water too make ice.

As every technician knows , a water and ice dispensor refrig , has a dual water inlet valve . Just because the water dispensor works , does not mean the coil for the ice maker is working . Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it dumps the frozen cubes , but does not refil with water , check the fill tube inside the freezer , from the wall to the fill cup on the ice maker , to see if it is frozen . If so , replace the dual water inlet valve , due to seeping . This is not closing completely , and letting drips thru , which freeze inside the tube . If the tube is not frozen , then the water inlet valve is bad , not letting water thru to the ice maker .
If the ice maker does not dump the frozen cubes , then the ice maker needs to be replaced . Also check the coils under the refrig , to be sure they are clean of dust , lint , etc , as this will raise the temp above 5 degrees , which is the operating temp , for an icemaker .

Ice maKer is not getting water but the water side works.

Your refrig water valve , has 2 coils on one valve . One is for the water dispensor , and one is for the ice maker . So even if you get water thru the dispensor , the other coil ( for the ice maker ) could be bad . The fill tube from inside the freezer to the ice maker , could be frozen solid , keeping the water from entering the ice maker . This frozen tube , would be caused be the water valve " seeping " , which means , it isn't closing completely , and drips freezing inside the tube . indicating a bad water valve . Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it dumps , but doesn't refill with water , replace the water valve but also check this tube . If the ice maker does not dump the frozen cubes , replace the ice maker , but also check the coils under the refrig , for dust , lint , etc , needing to be cleaned off . The ice maker needs to be 5 degrees to operate , and dirty coils can keep the freezer at 6 degrees or above .

Hooked up water to frig and got water in door but no water to icemaker. Any ideas?

Make sure the lever is down on the ice maker . Also , can pour about 2/3 cup of water into ice maker , so it will freeze and start the cycle . Otherwise , wait , and when the ice maker gets cold enough , it will cycle on its on to start the ice making procedure . If you get water to the door , then it's connected properly , and water will go to the ice maker , if the water valve and ice maker are in working order .

The ice maker stopped making ice. Continues to turn..but no ice

Check to make sure your line to the maker is not frozen. See if there is a little black rubber hose hanging/leading to the maker device. It will usually be about an inch long or so. Try bending/flexing it. If it's rigid, then more than likely the line is frozen. Just take out the good old blowdrying and blow on high heat for a few minutes until you see water slowing dripping out of the tube. Eventually, you should see a frozen ice core sliding out of the tube. Then, wait for a couple hours and check if there any new ice.

Good luck!

Icemaker not working. The water is not going into the icemaker, yet the water is coming out of the door for fresh water.

Check to make sure the area around your icemaker is not frozen. In particular, check for a black one-inch or so rubber tube hanging just above the ice maker area and see if it's frozen. You can tell it's frozen if the tube is rigid while trying to flex or bend it. If so, then just take out the good old blow dryer and heat the tube for a few minute on hot air until you see water dripping. And eventually, you should see the frozen ice core slide out of the tube. Next, wait a couple hours or so and see if you've got any ice.

Good luck!

Water leak

Unplug the refrigerator, open the door and get a blow dryer and warm up the freezer. wait until the water stop dripping out or about 12 to 24 hours and then you can plug it back in . it will work for 2 to 3 weeks. To unplug the drain.defrost the freezer .remove the back cover. Use a pipe cleaner to clear the drain. pour a few cups of hot water down the drain. the drain hose may be just pulled off must let the water drip in the pan.

Ice maker

My wife installed a new filter and didn't purge (AKA flush) it enough. As a result, my ice maker quit. Since there was air in the line, the water feed into the ice maker froze. You should check your water feed. In your freezer, look to the top right part of your ice maker. You will see a short (2 inches or so) black tube that feeds water into a piece a plastic on your ice maker that looks like a small cup. Squeeze the tube to see if frozen. If it is, there is probably also a frozen pool of water in the 'ice maker' cup. You can use a hairdryer but be very careful as you can melt the plastic. My service guy took out the ice maker and ran it under hot water. He used a small screw driver to get the ice out of the black hose. Removing the ice maker looked pretty easy. You can remove the ice maker door (it justs snaps out). the ice maker also just slides out. If you are not comfortable removing the wire connection, there's enough plat in the wire to allow you access to the frozen cup of water. You could pour hot water over the ice maker while it remains connected. When done, cut power to the entire frig for about a minute. This will reset the ice maker. Note that you may have a wait a few minutes to actually hear the ice maker fill with water since it has a timer mechanism.
