SOURCE: Is the third wire positive or negative going into the battery on a Kawasaki 1100zx jet ski?

Most lithium ion battery packs I have come across, that typically have three terminals, have a terminal to allow the charger to do one of two things. This terminal will give the charger circuit a temperature reading, or, it will give it a reference to allow for both cells to have a balanced charge. On the battery I used for one of my projects there was a board that measured the voltage across 3 different cells to prevent over charging, over current, and undervoltage conditions. Without

SOURCE: charging system

If you have changed the alternator and regulator, about all that could be left would either be a short circuit that is draining current away, or a bad ignition warning light bulb. That is because the power to energize the field of the alternator, comes through this dash bulb.

look for a fusible link out. You need to check for output on the alternator that you installed. make sure the batteries are fully charged before that, otherwise its not going to read right. start from the source. also, you can disconnect the batteries from the sys and do a continuity check on the wires in the loom, so you can see if current has a path, or if you have an open circuit. hope this helps

SOURCE: what is the blue wire for:; Is it positive or

Blue = Neutral, Brown = Live and you are correct Yellow & Green = Earth
The live wire (brown) must be connected to the fuse if there is one.
You could say that the blue wire is negative (or zero) and the brown wire is positive as this is the one the high current passes through. The blue wire completes the circuit, which is needed for current to flow.
Hope this helps!

How to measure Voltage in Transforme for Fitness Treadmill

Transformer Test Procedure:1). Make sure that transformer wire connections (CON1) to the drive board are secured. Turn unit on.2). Put multimeter to the AC voltage setting. Insert meter probes into the transformer primary (red)wires as shown. Normal reading: 110V. This shows that there is power to the transformer.3). Test transformer output by probing on secondary (output) wires: black and black, white and white, orange and orange, yellow and yellow

Transformer Test Results :1). If there is no voltage across the primary (red) wires, inspect F1 fuse on the drive board and power to the drive board. 2). If there is voltage across primary wires but none across secondary wires, the transformer is bad.Replace it.

Transformer Wire Colors Normal Voltage Value:
Red and Red 110 VAC.
Black and Black 11-13 VAC
White and White 11-13 VAC
Orange and Orange 27-29 VAC
Yellow and Yellow 10-12 VAC

Low independence light comes on and a humming sound what is causing this?

Humming from subs? If from inside amp, your experiencing a problem with a driver board. It makes transistors latch on and loads down the transformer, causing light to come on. And vibrations "hum" from transformer.

My JES636WK01 microwave heats up but it makes a loud humming noise. I suspected the Magnetron and disconnected it. The microwave was then operated and the n oiuse was the same. Do you have any ideas

Disconnect the HV transformer leads from the magnetron and the capacitor. Make sure none of the wires are touching the chasis or other parts. If the loud humming sound is still present, it is the High Voltage transformer making the noise. If the noise goes away, it is the High Voltage Capacitor going bad.

*MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE TOUCHING ANY OF THE HIGH VOLTAGE LEADS! ALSO, DISCHARGE THE CAPACITOR BY SHORTING THE TWO SIDES AGAINST EACH OTHER!

Wiring a generalaire 1042 humidifier to a goodman furnace, when there are no terminals marked hum

24 VAC HUM
The yellow wire connected to the I.D. Blower pressure switch
is powered anytime the pressure switch is closed and provides
24 VAC humidifier control. Remove the yellow wire and connect
the supplied brown jumper wire to the pressure switch
terminal. Reconnect the yellow wire to the "piggyback" terminal
on the brown jumper and then connect the 24 VAC line of the
humidifier to the stripped end of the brown wire. Using a wire
nut or a field-supplied quick connect terminal can make this
connection. The wiring must conform to all local and national
codes. Connect the COM side of the humidifier to the B/C
terminal on the furnace control board (or to the COM side of
the 24 VAC transformer). DO NOT CONNECT 115V HUMIDIFIER
TO THESE TERMINALS.

We have a steady hum coming from our Allue lll QS236 hood

If it hums when the unit is off:

Its probally one of two transformers. Remove both screws holding bottom metal plate under filters. Locate both transformers, put your hand on each transformer to see if hum stops, if so just pry on it a bit until hum is isolated.

1-transformer back left, and one toward the front with yellow/blue wires coming out.

If it hums with unit on high speeds: its air leaking, it will take fairly long time to find.

Sears 92 gas furnace noise when not in air handling mode

a very subtle hum or buzz is normal and is the transformer that creates 24 volt control voltage continually. some are noisier than others . sometimes a tap or bending of the transformer will tweak the metal enough to make it quieter. they can also get loud if incoming voltage is not correct. incoming 120 volts on a furnace is not usually a problem but the transformers are usually wired to the available incoming 230 voltage or 208 voltage if it is a heat pump or electric heat. If it is powered by 230 or 208 volts as most heat pumps are ,then you need to verify which you have and connect the appropriate leads from the trans former to power . it tells you on the side of the transformer which to connect to 230 and which to connect to 208. tape or cap off any unused leads.since you have not mentioned any performance problems i assume the fan does come on when called for and that it is not the loud hum you hear. switching the fan switch at stat to on should bring the fan on right away. if it doesn't then you may hear a loud hum and then youll need to check the fan motor and capacitor. but it sounds like a noisey transformer from here.

Loud humming

If this is an electric resistance heater then there is no power supply or transformer. I had a baseboard heater that would hum loudly and I found there's a wire that runs along the bottom to connect the far end of the heat element to the electrical wiring at the supply end. This wire becomes magnetized from the current flowing through it and vibrates in the channel it runs through. I was able to open this channel and squirt a bit of silicone caulk in to keep the wire from vibrating and the hum is gone.
