When you divide (3 5i)/(1 2i) you get (2.6, -.2i) so the complex conjugate would be (2.6, 0.2i). In polar form that is 2.608 at 4.399 degrees. [Calculation done using TI-86] Best Wishes!

Is it complex or matrix? You can have only one mode at a time.What kind of equations? The solve function uses real-valued equations.
Complex numbers: You can add, subtract, multiply and divide. You can convert a number from rectangular to polar forms and vice-versa; you can calculate the absolute value of a complex number, or a conjugate.
All the operations are done in the Mode CMPLX.

To get the conjugate of a complex number simply flip the sign of the imaginary part. The conjugate of 3+5i is 3-5i.

### Can we find complex matrices using 991-es?

No!! The only complex number operations you can perform are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and raise to an integer power with positive exponent. You can also get the Argument or the conjugate of a number, convert a complex number from rectangular to polar forms and vice versa.
As to matrices, it can only handle up to 3X3 dimension with real coefficients.

By default only one answer is shown, since the other one is the opposite. However if the square root is the solution of a quadratic equation, then you have both. For a cubic equation that has three solutions, one is real and the two others are complex conjugate of one another.

Turn calculator ON.
If you see no icons, press [MENU] key.
Use Arrows to focus on RUN and press [EXE]
Press [OPTN]
Among the TABS that appear at the bottom of screen you have CPLX.
Press [F3] to activate it.
The menu TABS that are displayed allow you manipulate complex numbers:
F1 :i imaginary unit i
F2: Abs takes the absolute value of a complex number.
F3:Arg, gives the argument (angle the complex number makes with the positive X-Axis)
F4: Conj calculates the Conjugate of a number.
F5: ReP extracts the Real part
F6:Imp extracts the Imaginary part.

For other operations use the operation keys [Plus] [MINUS] [*][/] [X^2] [Square root]. Be careful using the universal power key or the xroot key as it may lead to a Memory error.

You are making an assumption that is unwarranted.Namely that a cubic equation must necessarily have 3 real roots. This is not the case.

Let your equation be

If coefficients are complex you should expect some complex roots. Right?
If the coefficients are REAL then depending on the discriminant

you can have three cases
DELTA positive : three distinct real roots
DELTA=0 , the equation has a multiple root and all roots are REAL
DELTA negative: the equation has ONE real root and 2 complex roots that are complex conjugate of each other.

It suffices to look at the Tartaglia/Cardano expressions of the roots to know that more often than not there is going to be complex roots.
