There might be a loose connection in the touchpad, if you are out of warranty it might not pay to fix it.

I think I clicked on the button that says Lock this Computer. and now my mouse is not moving. How do i fix this problem?

Firstly, Try a hard restart (Just hold down the power button until it shuts off)

If you mouse is still not working, you will have to use a external USB Mouse.

After a while, when this happend to me and I had used the USB mouse for about a week, the touchpad mouse started working again.

But, while you have the USB mouse plugged in, try searching online for a driver for your touchpad.

Acer Aspire PC Notebook 5315 touchpad not working.

Hey in the control panel, go to the mouse, then look for the properties that have a PS/2 compatible mouse, you can change its settings there by sellecting other compatible mouse instead of PS/2, and also there is a settings or a check box that says the onboard mouse of your laptop will be disable if a usb mouse will be pluged.hope it soved your problem, :)

Touch pad will not work...Help

Try to re-install the driver for your touchpad. If you don't have the file you should be able to download it from the Acer site. There is usually a setting for the touchpad that allows you to use both the pad and a mouse if you choose to plug one in. If you do, make sure you turn on the feature or you will lose your pad everytime you plug in the mouse.

Cursor is frozen and can;t move on my laptop

Plug in a USB mouse, and go to Contol Panel>system>device manager and click on the +sign next to pointing devices. Right click touchpad and uninstall the touchpad, then reboot the computer, remove the usb mouse. Windows will pick up the touchpad as new hardware and re-install the drivers for it etc..

I hope this helps
