Question about True GDM-7 Beverage Cooler

1 Answer

I have a true GDM46 and I cannot get the thermostat to adjust to a temperture of 36-40 degrees. What number should it be set at and why does it goes below or above the set you are trying to get. I put a new thermostat on and it does the same thing. Cannot adjust to refrigerate not freezing.

Did you fit a manufacturers original or an after market model?
When the thermostat was replaced was it fitted to exactly where the original thermostat was fitted?
These things are tempremental and must be fitted just so.

Honeywell thermostate will not kick off on set temperture

There's a "throttling range." The unit starts (say, in heating) one degree below setpoint and shuts off two degrees above set point.

You can change the "temp" but you can't change the throttling range.

I have true commercial double door cooler box. The temperature stays around 28 degree if when I set it very low. it causing big problem for us because everything freezes.

If you mean by low you mean number 1? This would mean the thermostat is bad. Number 9 would freeze everything anyway. I'm leaning towards a bad thermostat. Email if you want a thermostat wmontg5988@yahoo.com

My 2007 Chevy HHR 2.2L, coolant temp sensor is reading that the coolant temp is 20 degrees warmer than the outside temp after sitting for over 12 hours and the operating temp gets to 214 degrees without...

Sure the engine coolant will be warmer than the outside temperture and if the car has been sitting a long time in cold weather and the outside temperture warms up it could be the other way around. The coolant temperture sensers aren't real accurate as they are a relaitive senser beween hot and cold and the numbers reported don't have to be real just the change from hot to cold and the reching of the coolant to the operating temperture. Noe it the senser doesn't read the opertating temperture coprrectly you'll have all kinds of problems. The therostaste will try to set the temperture of the water to it's set temperture and can open or close completly to get 195 degrees F. Many times if it's too cold then the stat is bad and needs to be replaced This shows up in alot of cars first thing after winter and the first onset of cold weather when the daily tempertures vary the most from day to night.

Hot water temperture will not go over 33 degrees

Check your water heater thermostat on you water heater tank, look for a small removable panel, remove the insulation and then you should expose the thermostat of the water heater
Readjust the thermostat to the desired temperture just be sure not to set to high to cause problems with small children.

TRUE COOLER COMPRESSOR CYCLES ON 45 SECONDS AND OFF FOR 2 MINUTES.SEEMS TO COOL FINE MAINTAINS 38 DEGREES, OTHER TRUE COOLER WE HAVE DOES NOT DO THIS...ANY SUGGESTIONS?

The unit has a temperature swing adjustment screw located behind the thermostat plate. If you remove the knob and the face plate you will see it,It can be adjusted there. It may also be the thermostat bulb is going bad or touching something and giving a false signal to the compressor.

With new digital thermostat furnace runs every 10 min.

which type of T-Stat is it ? most standard t-stats have it built in that the temperature range is only a half a degree, it may seem like its running alot more, but in actuality it is maintaining better home comfort as it is not running as long as the old bimetal t-stats which would have a range of anywhere from 2-5 degrees which would cause the furnace to run alot longer, use more energy, use more fuel, and you would notice a definate change in the house temperture before it would come on or shut off, your t-stat seems to be working properly, and it will save you money, remeber also to change those filters !!!

Siemens RDE20.1 upper temperture setting

Hold the return and + button at the same time for at least three seconds, then adjust the indicated temperature down which tricks the thermostat in heating to a higher temperature before the set point is reached.
