I suspect your f11 key does work, try opening a web browser and while it is open press the f11 key if your browser goes full screen the f11 key works just press f11 again to return it to normal. Try pressing and holding the fn key and then press f11 that will switch your wireless on and off

Can't access bios utility setup

You have different keys to click on different PC. Since you have not specified the kind of laptop you have, here are few keys you have to strike: Turn off computer first then before it opens, you have to click DELETE key randomly to enter to bios utility setup. If it does not work, turn off again and try F12, if it doesn't turn off then try these: F1, F11 and ESC.
Congratulations.

My notebook has starting producing numbers instead of letters when I press certain keys - what is the problem?

Hi
you have enabled the numeric keyboard on your laptop
Try pressing the FN key (usually located at bottom left) and the F11 key.

If F11 key doesn't work you could try finding the F key with a mini keyboard icon on it.
Regards.

My laptop has no wireless switch. I want to put wireless on.

On the bottom left of your keyboard you should find a key marked Fn. On the top right of your keyboard you should find a key marked F11 with a little blue antenna icon on it. While pressing the Fn key, press the F11 key once. this should turn on your wi-fi radio.

If it doesn't, chances are your wi-fi is disabled in BIOS.

  • Make sure the computer is turned off.
  • Press the ON button.
  • Immediately press the F2 key.
  • This should get you into BIOS configuration page.
  • Highlight the "Wireless" option & press space.
  • Highlight the "Wireless Devices" option.
  • In the top middle of your screen you should have a check-box labelled "Enable Internal Wireless WLAN".
  • Make sure this is checked (not empty).
  • Chose the EXIT button (bottom right).
  • The computer will reboot.
  • Your wi-fi should now be on.
Hope this helps.

I have MSI U100 ( MS N011 ) laptop. Wireless not working. It works via cable. could you advise where is the wireless switch?

Fn + F11 key switches on Wireless. If you hit the keys again, it switches on Bluetooth, and if hit again, it switches on Wireless AND Bluetooth. And hit again, switches OFF them.

Press and hold the fn+f11 keys to cycle through all the wireless functions. You'll have to press repeatedly to find the combination of wireless features to turn on or off that you want. Depending on if you have wireless, 3g and bluetooth you might have to press f11 several times.
