No, it's not even DX9 compatible. Your card is an ancient one, replace it.

The ATI Radeon 9250 card only supports Pixel Shader version 1.1 or 1.4 and older. It will not support Pixel Shader version 2.0. You would need to upgrade your graphics card if your game or application requires Pixel Shader 2.0.

I've been told the graphics card is U/S in my ACER ASPIRE computer cannot find where to buy a replacement any ideas

The card you are looking for is a
NVIDIA Riva TNT2 M64, it´s an agp 4x card, ussually with 32 or 64 mb of video ram.
So basically you are looking for an AGP 4X card. If you don´t want to mess with drivers, look for an Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64 with 32 or 64 mb of video ram. You can also look for any other agp 4x but make sure the connector (Bellow the black square) has the same shape and golden parts.
Ebay would be ussually the easiest, and ussually the cheapiest on this card.
Good luck getting a replacement!!

Pixel and Shader 3.0 Support

Pixel Shader 3 (PS 3), is just a technique used by video cards to render images to your screen.
In order to get a video card to support PS 3 you need to install DirectX 9c (the 'c' is very important, version 9 is not good enough).
Unfortunately your card only supports DX9 not DX9c and will therefore only play games that support Pixel Shader 2 or below.

Your only option in order to play the games you want, is to upgrade your Video card to one that supports DX9c or higher.
Geforce 6 & 7 series cards all support DX9c.
One other thing, if you are looking to upgrade check and see if your card is AGP or PCIe. I have a feeling that they only made the FX5200 in AGP but check it to make sure.
AGP cards are almost obsolete now, but Nvidia & ATI do still make a few and they can be found on large online PC retail outlets or perhaps try and pick up a good one on Ebay.

Hope this helps

Run the test below to see what you need to run it.

pixel shader is built into the card so therefore a better card is required to play the game.

AGP

You can add an AGP Graphics card if an AGP slot (Not White) is provided on the motherboard not a connector just to clarify.

Agp pixel shader 2.0 not support

Pixel shaders are a part of your video card, you would have to upgrade to a more powerful card like 256mb or 528mb. Other than that, your game will not work.
