Sounds like someone shorted the need to look into the entire butcher job and see what wires were touched. Disconnect everything the butcher did and then see if your battery is still drainning power.

2003 altima dash fuse blows when i put in reverse and alternator stops working

It is electrical, could be initiated by mechanical (shift lever mechanics are pinching a wire in reverse) or a shorted wire or solenoid in the reverse light system or transmission solenoid circuit. Need a detailed wiring diagram to determine path of circuit for that fuse. That is where you need to start. Try your local library or dealer for a service manual. Look Online also.

Sounds like a bad thermal fuse or thermostat, check all of them with a multi meter for continuity. as for the heater going out I would check ur venting inside and out the machine. the fuses and heater blow out for a reason? Usually due to overheating issues? I suspect ur lint build up is the problem?

I do think they are all on the same circuit. You have a fuse box somewhere but I have no idea of where it is. If it blows another fuse, disconnect everything you can electrically and then reconnect them one thing at a time. When the fuse blows, the last thing you reconnected is the likely culprit.

Good Luck

change the power supply if that doesnt fix it then your motherboard has blown, there are no fuses in the power supply, you have probably blown diodes inside it. You have tried another power lead, that you know is working?
