Question about Motorola Mobility H500 Wireless Headset

1 Answer

H500 PROBLEMS Hi You answered a question here a couple months ago but I still cannot get my H500 to connect to my Env2 phone. I can get it to find the device and pair to it but not connect. It states as someone else also indicated on this thread that it says device is out of range or not powered on. Sometimes it says device is busy. If you have any further advice, I would be most grateful. Thanks!

I have the same problem with the LG envy2. My h500 worked with it for a few days and now I get the same error message. It says the device is not powered or out of range.

This is a symptom of a bad headset. You need to replace the unit.

When i call someone or someone calls me on my env2 they can't hear me and everything is really scratchy in the background...my old env2 broke and i just got this new one about a month ago..shouldnt be...

Try making test calls to someone and use a wired headset.
If they can hear you better - that you know it is the mouthpiece microphone that has gone bad.

If they cannot hear you better - something is wrong internally with the phone.

Usually insurance replaces your phone with a REFURBISHED unit. They check everything at least once before they send out the units, but problems that are intermittent - (just show up some of the time) don't always show up in testing. So yes sometimes you get a dud, and they have to replace it again. If you already paid a deductible, you won't have to pay one again. The refurbished one should be covered free for the next year!!

I can't connect my EnV2 to my Jabra Bluetooth. Is there a trick?

It could as easy as updating your phone by dailing *228 with a Verizon phone, select option 2 then press ok when the update is complete. When the phone resets, turn on the bluetooth headset, a prompt on the phone should come up to enter the passkey which should be 0000

Problems pairing up a Nokia 6301 with my Motorola H500

Try power cycling the phone. Turn the Nokia off, wait 10 seconds, then turn back on and try again. It really does help sometimes. Let us know if this doesn't help.

Problems With Pairing H500 and Motorola V190

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.
2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select H500once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".

Tips:
1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".

please give good rating if the solution works.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Tapping the answer button does not answer the phone

I had the same issue until I realized that I was touching the button twice,- first answering the incoming call, then immediately hanging up!
When you first tap the button there is a slight delay and the incoming call seems to be still ringing but you've really already "answered" it. Just tap once, be patient a couple of seconds and say"Hello". Your caller will be there!
