Philips 43p8341/37, The menu does not appear on the screen when selected by either the remote or the unit, also the picture is bowed at the top and the bottom of the screen making the center of the picture seem farther away, also the green seems halo ish the color red seems confined within the convexed picture and blue covers the entire screen, i have no idea where to start!!

The board you will be working on is the signal module. The signal module is the board on the floor of the TV. When you locate the RCA connections and the RF connectors on the back of the TV, you will know that you are where you should be. You will see two large silver fins, these fins are heat sinks and two ICs are attached to them. They will be STK-392-110, and both will need replaced. Also check and measure the 6.8 ohm 2 watt resistors next to these ICs just mentioned. Should be ten or eleven resistors. Replace as necessary. The next problem you describe is a halo effect on the screen and no menu on screen. You will need to replace contaminated fluid in one of the picture tubes. You will find three picture tubes, lit, they are red, green, and blue. I would suspect the blue has the contaminated fluid. You may look in the tubes and decide which one is cloudy.
