Hello,
You need to remove the BIOS battery for a few minutes, then put it back on.
This will reset BIOS settings and cancel the password authentication prompt at booting.

Testimonial: "worked perfectly thankyou very much! now to tackle the rest of the problems!"
You have to call acer support
Locate and download a program called
"OPHCRACK"
Insert disc and restart computer:
Set
your bios to start from the CD:
Just press F8 or whatever
the screen says for the BIOS settings and/or options..
Set the
boot option order to CD first rather than second or third.
The
program will run and it will start to recover the passwords(s)
During the boot up process you will see on the screen press delete to enter set up
Press delete during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password you can change or remove your password from there
hope this helps
