1. check to make sure the laptops wireless is enabled. note that sometimes there is an external switch on laptops.
2. if your wireless network is secured, make sure you configure your laptop accordingly.
3. make sure your laptop supports the wireless network type you have selected, you may have to modify this on the router configuration page to suit your laptop, but this is rarely the case with new laptops.
4. try connecting from very close to the router so that you are sure that the problem is not simply distance or blockage.

As instructed i master reset my wireless router, due to the fact that i forgot my password. My internet connection wont work at all, now that i have "master reset" my linksys Wrt100 router.

When you do a Master Reset on a wireless router it sets the hardware back to factory settings.

To get this working again you will need to run the setup wizard CD to reconfigure the device.

You can find all the setup programs and documentation on how to configure at the following location:

Good luck.

My Linksys WRT110 was working fine with two hardwired connections for my two closely located desktops and all three of the laptops were online with the exception of being dropped and no longer able to get...

the reason for the lights turining on is that the WPS on your router is actually activated right now. so you got to set it back to where it can give out a wi-fi connection. Just try to hold the red reset button on the back of the router for about 1 minute to be sure that it will really reset itself.

Once that is done, just reconfigure the router so that it will be properly in sync with the modem and personalize the wireless settings. Make sure that you don't press the WPS button, thats the button in the middle of the router.

CANT ACCRS WIRELESS ROUTER WRT110 BY LINKSYS CISCO

Sounds like the router needs to be reset..

Before you do a reset try to login to the router by typing 192.168.1.1 in the webrowser ..

If that fails then look on the back or under the router and there is a reset button. Press and hold for 10 sec ... The let sit for a min or 2 then try logging into it..

Note: That the router will have to be setup again. Default login admin for the password .. don't enter any usernames

re-install the software , if you don't have it goto Linksys . com
these units do a funny thing when you are not looking they reset themselves , the hardware on your computer will also have to be
reset , goto control panel/systems/hardware/device manager
click on device uninstall your Ethernet device and reboot the
computer , next place the CD into the tray and start over , I use
the same unit as you , mine has had to be reinstalled 3 times so
far check all connection locations , if all else fails call Linksys

Trouble setting up router

Make sure it is not a cross-over cable, and unplug the Ethernet cord at both ends and then re-connect. Also try a different cord. If you are doing this wireless I would recommend you using an Ethernet cord. You could also push in the little reset button on the back of the router for 45 seconds and then unplug the router then plug it back in and start over with the CD.
