Try this following steps: 1. Check to make sure the Sensor Bar cord is inserted into the back of the Wii console and the Sensor Bar is centered above or below your TV screen. 2. Make sure you are using fresh batteries in the Wii Remote. 3. The Wii Remote Controller should be used between 3 to 10 feet from the TV. 4. Make sure no objects are blocking the signals between the Sensor Bar, the Wii console, and the Wii Remote. 5. Check for interference from infra-red light sources, such as candles, sunlight, fireplaces, and stoves. 6. Radio frequency interference may cause the Wii Remote to work erratically.

Thank you for taking the time to post a solution, one of my controllers is working perfectly but the 2nd one is not. Sometimes if I remove the batteries and reinsert them, the blue lights come on for a few seconds but then go out.

Try to Re-sync your controller. If still not work it means that the controller is already defective. If you just recently purchased it, you want to call Wii or the shop for replacement.

Syncing your Wii-mote to your Nintendo Wii

So you just bought a new Nintendo Wii Remote Controller but when you click the power button the four blue lights at the bottom just blink huh? Well that just means your Remote needs to be synchronized to your Wii.

Here are simple step by step instructions to do so.

1) Turn on your Nintendo Wii.
2) Open the door on the front of your Wii covering the SD card slot and the SYNC button.

3) Open the battery compartment on the back of your Wii-Remote Controller.

4) Press the red SYNC button on your Wii.
5) Press the little red SYNC button on your Wii-Mote.
6) Wait until a solid blue LED light comes on on one of the four lights at the bottom.
7) If it doesn't work the first time, try again.
Your Wii-Mote should now be synchronized.

My wiicontroller no power

In the picture I see a classic controller. It has to be plugged into the bottom of the wii remote to work. If you are having problems with the wii remote first check the batteries. They may need replaced. If that doesn't work check the silver contacts inside the battery compartment that the battery touches. If they appear dirty use a pencil eraser to gently clean them (pink ones work best). If you still get no power to the wii remote after (by no power I mean no light showing up) then I would think it was an internal issue resulting from a drop maybe?
If the lights come on but your wii is not recognizing it then open the front door on your wii and press the red sync button, then remove the battery cover from the wii remote and press the red button (you may need a toothpick). You have to do that with each wii remote you own. Good luck and hope this helps!

Controller all four lights come on controller cant get it to work will one controller play on second unit have new batterys

Have You Tried syncing it? all you have to do is look at the front of your wii console and flip open the little door. it will have a small red button then where you stick the battery in on the controller you will see another red button, hold both red buttons down at the same time. (the one on the wii, and the one on the wii controller) and then your controller should work properly

Wii remote doesn't come on. Blue lights don't

Hi,

Thanks for using FixYa!

If the blue light on your Wii controller doesn't light up, its possible that it ran out of battery charge. If you think your battery is fully charged. try to buy a set of disposable battery and see if they will work. If they do work, it means your rechargeable batteries have gone bad.

Have a great day.

When new batteries have been put in both controllers of the wii, indicator lights supposed to indecate power level of batteries instead of which all blue lights flash then stop and nothing happens, no...

If all the lights are coming on then going off again the controller needs to be synched with the wii. Once it is synchronized after all the indicator lights flash one should stay on indicating which player you are (1 -4)
To synch a controller to the wii:
Make sure the wii is in
Open the battery cover on the wiimote
Open the front panel of the wii
Press the synch button on the console
Press the red synch button on the wii mote
Should work for you.

Wii consoles not working

Hold in the power button on the Wii console for about six seconds until it powers off. The light on the power button should turn red after you do this, not amber. Press the power button again to boot the Wii.

9 out of 10 times this fixes all weird issues. If you simple power it down to the amber light, it's not actually off, so you really aren't getting a "cold" reboot.

Good luck.
