Question about Bosch WAS24460UC Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Brand new, just installed Bosch WAS34460 washer stinks like rubber when filling with water and running (sort of like the rubber hoses in an old car engine). But the smell also emanates from the back and from the detergent dispenser, but not in the drained water (I drained the water to test check the filter) Could this be the inlet hose that the installer used? Or is this a more serious problem where I need to send it back to the appliance store? I'm kind of wore out from 6 weeks of trying to get the previous Bosch washer repaired after it stopped spinning. I thought this brand spanking new one would solve all of my problems. Have you ever heard of stinky washer inlet hoses?

Are you using HE detergent? Are you using the correct amount specified? You have a year warranty friend. Call Bosch directly. They do care about their customers. Do not go through Lxxxs or who you purchased the unit from. Other than some minor issues, Bosch wants to take care of their customers. One other thing. My biggest issue with installers is, they don't know how to install. They have their CDLS, and that is all. No training. Did they remove shipping bolts? Tub rubbing on front door seal could be burnt rubber smell. Bosch people on the whole, are good people. Good luck. Numbers are in your Manual. Check installation manual also. Good luck.

Hy, I have a washmasine bosch WAE28267SN that sow me an error E02 that's the error. Somebody can help me with some tips Thanks

The E02 error means that the washer is slow to fill. This can be caused by a problem with the incoming water hoses, the water valves or the washer draining as it fills.

The first thing to check is the incoming water if you have very little water in the washer. Make sure that the shut-off valves have been opened fully. If they were fully open, close them. If they were closed, check if that solves your E02 problem. Next remove the water hoses. A damaged anti-flood hose can reduce the water flow to a trickle. Clean the filters at both the shut-off valves and the intake valve on the washer. Replace the hoses at the shut-off valves. With a bucket below the hoses, turn on the shut-off valves and check that you are getting good flow. Now, attach the hoses to the washer. Check if the washer fills properly.

Check that the drain hose is positioned so that the outlet is above the water line of the washer. If your E02 issue continues and no water gets into the machine, then the inlet valve could be stuck in the closed position. If the washer is filling and the E02 error persists, then the water flow sensor may be a problem. This sensor has air tubes that can become clogged. Make sure that they have no dirt. There are other parts in this sensor that could be damaged.

Unfortunately, I don't have a source for parts for this washer. Some Bosch water inlet valves are available here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/bosch-washer-valve.html . If your washer is under warranty, contact Bosch.

I hope this helps.

Bosch dishwasher has problem saying check water don't know what this means can you help me

Your dishwasher can not bring water in for the cycle. there is a gray hose that connects to the water valve ( hopefully it is under your sink not behind the dishwasher). it has a filter in it. turn off the water valve, and undo the fill hose. remove the rubber washer, and take out the screen filter. clean it, and re install it.

Our 5 yr. old LTF2940ES0 reaks of mildew and is covered and stained with mildew on the inside rubber ring. It does not drain all the way after a cylcle, either. I have scrubbed and washed it with bleach...

The problem is the big round gray rubber seal and the ridges. I have this exact washer and had the exact problem. It stunk. There is a replacement gasket for $100+ that I purchased. (It's what the new ones come with.) It has no ridges and more holes to drain the water out of. It was a pain to replace it but it was well worth it. It is like having a new washer. We tried all of the bleaching, special powders, etc and none of that worked.

Whirlpool top loader: very loud pumping sounds when filling

You are experiencing surge pressure due to the ATC. It is increasing then reducing the hot water slow to maintain a pre-determined temperature.
I am not aware of a disable or bypass procedure.

Washer Won't Fill, New fill Valve, makes humming noise

Check your water level switch it may be showing full. If it is it won't fill. If you can set it on spin and run for 2 or 3 min. it might clear the hose from the tub to the switch in case there is too much water in it. Or you could pull the hose off the switch and blow in it to be sure it is clear. Sometime if it gets too much in it it builds up too much pressure and shows full.

Bosch WFK2401 won't start error code 6

Open the panel at the bottom using a 2p coin by turning clockwise
Pull the rubber hose out of the holder and drain water into a container until stops
turn large plastic screw to the left for access to the pump
Clear away and debris bits of metal, plastic, etc that has stopped the pump.
Opposite of above to reassemble
Switch on and test... good luck!
