Acer inspire one d260 cannot start system recovery

You should start windows in safe mode. By pressing the F8 key right when Windows starts, usually right after you hear your computer beep when you reboot it, you will be brought to a menu where you can choose to boot into safe mode. If it does not work on the first try, reboot and try again as you have to be quick when you press it. when it starts in safe mode, run system restore and when prompted for a restore date, choose an older restore date, probably one you a sure was perfect 2 days before the blue screen issue. This should get your system running in good shape.

Im haveing unexpected shut downs on my laptop? and i can onl use it in safe mode. how do i fix it to regular mode with oout it shuting down again?

When you boot it up that same screen that gives you the safe mode option will probably give you an option to disable or stop restarts on boot. This will allow you to see the error message. Since you can get into safe mode try doing a System Restore to a day before the problem started. System restore does not destroy your data, docs, music, pics, or videos. System Recovery destroys everything and sets the system back to when you first purchased it. If system restore does not work you'll need a system disc to fix the blue screen by running a chkdsk /r command at the dos command line prompt. Chkdsk will run for an hour or more so be patient. If chkdsk doesn't solve it then you probably have a memory issue. I would remove one memory chip and reboot, the if you have a problem move the chip that is inside to the next slot and reboot again. If if fails on both slots for that chip, set it aside and insert the other chip and do the same thing.

Blue screen error

The most frustrating blue screen computer errors are basically caused by some physical faults such as faulty memory, power supplies, overheating of PC components, or hardware running beyond its limits, device driver conflicts etc.
If you see the blue screen and halts occur in boot process, and also notice some specific error message appear on your screen, this indicates a serious issues most probably due to inappropriate device driver or firmware .Blue screen is really an annoying issue and creates a lot of trouble to the end user.
Follow these steps to fix a Blue Screen in Safe Mode
Once booting start, select "Safe Mode" from the boot menu.
Scan your hard drive by running your antivirus software . If the program locates an infection, move it to your vault or follow the on-screen instructions. After program completion, if a virus was removed, attempt to reboot your computer and see if this clears up the problem. If not, restart your computer in safe mode.
Restore your computer to a previous point. Click on the "Start" button. Select "All Programs", "Accessories", "System Tools" and finally "System Restore". Choose a restore point on or before the last day your computer worked without error. Finally Reboot your computer to see if it loads correctly.

I have the dreaded ''blue screen of death'' but can use my safe mode for networking. help????

What operating system are you running?

Most blue screens are caused by a hardware issue. If your happy to do so, strip your PC down to the bare basics. Remove all RAM apart from one module, and PCI cards except graphics and remove mouse and keyboard.

If it now boots up OK, you know one of the things have disconnected was causing the problem! Plug each one in one by one. Also, you can try Fixing the master boot record, or booting from your Windows CD and using the repair functions

Just bought an acer aspire ax1200-b1581a.it worked fine for a few days now it will pop up there was a problem with the internet and shut the itnernet down,it started out going blue screen and at the bottom...

I think the problem is related to virus. Try restoring your PC to an earlier date 9 a date when it worked fine). You do this from Start-> Programs -> Accesories -> System Tools -> System Restore. Select
Restore my computer to an earlier time and Click Next. A date calender will appear, select the preferred date and click Next twice. The system will automatically restart when restoration is done.

If u are not abe to run System Restore then you need to enter safe mode by pressing F8 during booting and selecting Safe Mode from the menu that appears. In safe mode you will be asked a question, you have to select no, and system restore will start

If restoring your pc does not solve the problem then you may need to reinstall your OS.

Blue Screen

Ok you have an issue, the error code you have is a registry errorthe best way to fix this is to boot from your windows cd rom and do a repair. If you dont have a windows cd then you can try going into windows in safe mode. turn the computer on, keep pressing the F8 key at the top of your keyboard. after it goes through the boot sequence it will take you to a window with a few options right at the top will be safe mode. If you have windows restore running it will prompt when you first go into windows, choose the option to do a restore, it will then restore to the last time a system change was made. that should fix the problem, if it doesnt then ask me and I will get you through this with the minimum of fuss and make sure you dont loose your data
