About Graphics and Video Card Drivers: Graphics and video Card Drivers serve as an interpreter between your Windows operating system and the Graphics and Video Card. In other words, these Drivers allow Windows to communicate with the Graphics and Video Card installed on your computer.
Most of the Graphics and Video Card Driver errors occur when the required Driver is missing, corrupt, or outdated.
Common Graphics and Video Card Driver problems: In case of a Graphics and Video Card Driver related error, your operating system will not be able to access or make best use of the functionality of your graphics or video card.

Below are the four most common Driver error codes and their meaning:

Error 1 - Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)
Meaning - The required driver is configured incorrectly or outdated.
Error 2 - This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
Meaning - The required driver is configured incorrectly or is missing.
Error 3 - The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
Meaning - The required driver is not installed on your computer.
Error 4 - This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Meaning - Usually, this error means that the required driver is outdated.
How do I fix Graphics and Video Card Driver problems?

Roll back to the previously installed Driver

Device Manager, an inbuilt utility in Windows, allows you to troubleshoot common driver-related errors. For instance, you may sometimes start experiencing driver related problems after you have updated it. To resolve the issue, you can roll back to a previously installed driver. To do this in Windows 7/Vista, perform the following steps:
  1. - Open the Control Panel window and double-click Device Manager
  2. - Double-click Display Adapters to view all devices under it
  3. - Double-click the device that is causing the problem
  4. - Click the Driver tab
  5. - Click the Roll Back Driver button and follow the onscreen instructions

Scan your computer using a Driver Update Tool

While Windows does provide an interface through which users can fix driver-related errors, the fact is that all driver-related issues cannot be resolved efficiently via Device Manager. Another fact is that resolving driver issues manually is a tedious affair. Also, you need to be proficient with Windows to carry out such a task.
On the other hand, driver management tools present no such problems. With just a click of the mouse, a driver management program scans your entire computer, identifies all installed hardware devices, and updates drivers for the identified devices

I reprogram my lenovo y50 to 32bit os..then i have a problem in my video driver...because my video driver is ATI RADEON..please help me..

It doesn't necessarily have to be Lenovo drivers. If Lenovo does not have 32-bit drivers for the video card on their website, you can download drivers directly from AMD. You'll just have to find out what specific ATI display adapter you have so you can select the correct driver when downloading it.

THe only reasons it would not install correctly is if either the drivers are incorrect or the video card itself is malfunctioning.

Fried Video Card

if you "fried" the video card you wouldn't get anything on the screen. Most Likely the wrong driver got installed or you need to check video properties to set video screen size and drivers installed.
Happens when installing updated video drivers.
Note: MS Update has installed incorrect drivers because thay were "NEW" but were incompatible with the video card on my systems before. Had to unistall "NEW" and reinstall "OLD".

My Averatec 3225 HS starts with the Windows logo and then goes black

Most of the time there is a problem with your Video Card Drivers. They are either corrupt or the incorrect drivers for your card. Try the following steps to resolve the problem:

1. Boot your PC in Safe Mode(press F8 during bootup)
2. Once your system is up and running, change your Video Card Drivers to a default of VGA or sVGA and reboot again
3. If the System its booting up correctly this time, Locate the Video Card manufacturer on the Web and then try to find and install the correct drivers for your Video Card

How to adjust LCD wide monitor to a higher

This error is typical of an incorrect video driver has been installed.
To check the installed video driver go to Control Panel - Display - Settings tab - Advance button - Adapter tab. This shows the adapter/driver. If it shows VGA graphics card or not the model of your graphics card then you need to download the correct graphic/video driver and install it. You will then able to configure the display at a higher resolution and at the highest color bit (ie 32 bit if there is sufficient video RAM installed).
