MY RECHARGABLE BATTERY PACK WON'T

-   Model PDS-758LP Battery pack won't charge at all. Got it yesterday and have been charging it for 10 and 12 hours at a time. Does not keep a charge! -   rdinwid

-   battery wont light up. plus i plug it up for hours and red light wouldnt turn green.-   Guest

-   According to the manual it says to leave the battery pack charging till the red light turns green. I have tried that many times sometimes for hours at a time yet the red light stays red and when I turn the dvd player on using the battery pack it tells me that the battery is not charged.
Steps:
I connected the power adaptor and power cord
I plugged the adaptor to the DC in 9V jack
and I placed the battery correctly in to the bottom of the unit.

Why won't my battery pack charge?
