Remember that the restore process deletes everything in your iPod-like your music, videos, photos...-. <br> 1. The first thing is to connect your iPod in recovery mode to the computer. Turn off you ipod. Before placing the iPod into recovery, you should verify that it is charged. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 8 seconds until the Apple logo appears. After the Apple logo appear, you can release the buttons. <br> 2. Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and display "Do not disconnect". <br>
3. Open itunes. Itunes will display a message of a device connected in recovery mode. It should ask you automatically to start the restore process. If not, select your iPod in the source list and you will see information about it appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows. At he right part, click on the Restore button. <br> 4. You will have 4 restore options, select restore option number 2. A progress bar will appear to indicate you the state of the restore process. When It finishes, disconnect the iPod and check if its shown on the computer again.

My ipod is disabled and i need a simple way to fix it!! It says that connect to itunes

iPod Is Disabled After a series of more failed attempts, your iPod displays the same "iPod is Disabled" message, but with an added "Connect to iTunes" message. At this point, your iPod shuts down completely and you cannot make any more attempts to enter the passcode. In order to restore the device at this stage, you need to connect it to a computer with iTunes installed. Ideally, connect it to a computer that you've used before for syncing your iPod.

How do i unlock my 5th generation nano

Hi ipsweete...

According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data."

Ipod quickformat and does not work

To reset an iPod with a Click Wheel, including: ipodnano3.jpg ipodclassic.jpg icon_ipod_5g.gif ipodnano2.jpg ipodnano.jpg ipodphoto.gif ipodg4.gif ipodmini.gif
  • iPod nano (3rd generation)
  • iPod classic
  • iPod (5th generation)
  • iPod nano (2nd generation)
  • iPod nano
  • iPod with color display (iPod photo)
  • iPod (Click Wheel)
  • iPod mini
  • iPod mini (2nd generation)
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
