Are you able to format the drive again? You may have corrupted the storage space by removing the drive improperly, especially if the file transfer did not finish exiting before you removed the drive. Reformatting the drive would fix this problem.

My transcend flash drive storage size has been reduced from 1gb to half of it. Please help

Please move/copy your current files to other storage, then format your Transcend storeJet USB. You should get a better space now. This happen because you have temporary files and space engage for caches or hidden files on transcend USB.

Good luck.

I formatted my 4GB TDK flash drive, now it show me only 3.95MB memory only. how can i recover it back to 4GB memory space, now it doesn't show me even the flash drive lock status & that screen when...

there is an overhead for the space on a drive, the system needs a File Allocation Table and other administrative information, so the total 4 GB is usually not 100% available. It would not work properly without this "administrative" space.

My HDDR500E03A 500 GB is only showing 3.98 GB on total memory, what happened to the rest?

The 3.98 GB you are seeing is probably your total RAM memory and not the storage capacity of the hard drive. RAM memory is completely unrelated to the hard drive capacities.

Double click on the MY COMPUTER icon.

You should then see all the disks and drives that are currently connected to your computer. Your USB hard drive should be one of the drives listed there.

Right click on each of them and select PROPERTIES from the menu shown. This will show you the storage capacity of each drive including how much space is used and how much is free (empty).

Good luck.

1TB external hard disk does not appear in XP

right click on my computer and select manage.
Go to disk administrator. Right click the drive and have it put an ntfs partition on it. It will then show up in my computer.
