I asked a question about taking my air deflector off and was told that one of the things the air deflector does is it keeps the radiator from over heating

watch your temperature gauge. If it goes over 2/3s you will need to put the deflector back on and you should not drive on if it goes that high, but wait for it to cool off as you might blow the head gasket.

I need to installhow to install a new deflector on Craftsman mower model 917273130?

Very simple. The 6 inch or so pin that holds it on is retained by a clip on one end. To remove clip use a pair of pliers. If you work steadily and carefully you will be able to reuse this clip. After removing clip, pull the pin out. Old deflector and spring be removed now. To get the spring right you have to try it in position before installing it. Just remember that the spring is holding the deflector down so when you are done installing, when you pick up on the deflector there is pressure holding it down. Don't put the pin clip on until you verify the spring force is correct because getting that spring clip off is the Hardesty pay off the job.

Bin full light stays on

You need to pull the bin full sensors and clean or replace them. Pull the front cover off remove the ice deflector you will see the water sump tray pull the ice deflector grate out of sump. Now where the ice fall into the bin on the right and left side in the shout there is 2 sensors they will pull out sideways, they will both have a wire ran to them pull wire and sensor up to where you can see the red sensors om them take a descale solution Scotsman brand mix per instructions and clean the eyes now would be a good time to clean and disinfect the whole machine. Install them back and start machine if this dose not clear the bin full light then replace them.

My bike generates heat that hurts my legs while long rides. what is the solution?

I would think that the problem is caused by the full enclosure of the frontal part of the engine. This will prevent the heat generated (by all engines) cannot get away. This was a common problem with faired motorcycles in the late 70's and early 80's. You will need to find a way to divert the heat away from the inside of the fairing. Maybe a deflector on the outside edge of the front leg shields to create airflow toward the engine.Something like the "Vario screen deflectors. I hope this helps

How to install the front bumpers air deflector on a 2003 cadillac cts

If you have the new deflector already, go to your local auto parts store and get 8 - 10 plastic retainers. Pry the old ones open and pop them out. Put the new deflector in place and "pop" in the new retainers. Did mine in about 5 minutes. Don't get the retainers at the dealer. They are about 3 bucks a piece. At O'Reilley's they are 2 for a buck (I Think, It's been a while.) This is an easy fix that will really improve the looks, and resale value, of your CTS. Hope this helps.8_22_2012_1_19_36_am.jpg

I have a ducane stainless steel ducane 30400042. Weber has sent me new burner bars since the old ones rusted but you do I install them?

Remove the grates and burner heat deflectors. There are 4 screws on the knob panel, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. Remove the screws and pull back about a inch or two. I found it helpful to open all the doors a bit to rest the panel on them. The burners should remove easily once this is done. Replace the burner tubes and be sure tubes have holes facing up on the one side for correct heat distribution. When placing the knob panel back on, make sure that burner tubes go onto the gas control knob correctly. Replace screws on the knob panel.

I need to know how to remove the stainless steel burners and replace them.

Call Weber to receive free warrenty burners. Have model and serial number found inside one of the doors on your grill. I just received them in the mail about a week ago and just replaced my burners today. Here is what I did.

Remove the grates and burner heat deflectors. There are 4 screws on the knob panel, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. Remove the screws and pull back about a inch or two. I removed the deflector and duct from outside the house, disconnected the hose, attached the hose to the dryer, passed the hose through the wall as the dryer went back in, then reattached the hose to the duct/deflector and reinstalled the duct/deflector
