Hello Soley,

To deactivate the child-lock on your Gaggenau steam oven:

1. Press any of the six keys next to the main display. The child-lock symbol (an oven with a line through it and a padlock) will appear next to the center-left key.

2. While the child-lock symbol is displayed, press and hold the center-left key (next to the symbol) for at least 6 seconds - or until the symbol disappears from the display.

This will deactivate the child-lock and you will be able to use the steam-oven again.

I think the unlock method is the same on all Gaggenau steam ovens. If this does not work for your oven, please reply to me with the model number by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question.

My mother mistakenly locked her samsung microwave. She can't figure out how to unlock it and she can't tell me what model it is. Can you help?

On a friend's Samsung (she didn't tell me her model number either), you lock the keypad by pressing "0" and then "2". Press the same sequence to unlock the pad. Maybe this will work on her model.

How to unlock digitals butons?

Hi there,

It sounds like you've activated the child-lock - this would disable all of the digital buttons.

To switch the child-lock OFF, simply press and hold the START button for about 4-5 seconds until "LOCKED" disappears from the display.

To switch the child-lock ON, press "STOP/CLEAR" button once, then press and hold the START button for about 4-5 seconds until "LOCKED" illiminates on the display.

If the buttons aren't working and "LOCKED" is not displayed, then you may have a defective touch control pad.

Hope this helps - please let me know if you need further assistance.

BElectric

"Locked" meaning the buttons don't work/non-responsive (Child Safety Locked)? To Unlock/Disengage the Child Safety. Push and hold the "Clear/Off" button for 3 to 4 seconds. The Child Safety is disengaged - problem solved.

I need to know how to unlock it

The Child Lock is on.

Your owner's manual covers it. If for some reason you don't have yours, you can download it free here.

CHILD LOCK
You may lock the control panel to prevent the microwave from being accidentally started or used by children.

Example: To set the child lock.
1. Touch STOP/CLEAR.
2. Touch and hold START more than 4 seconds. LOCKED will appear in the display window with two beeps.

Example: To cancel the child lock.
1. Touch and hold START more than 4 seconds. LOCKED will disappear and you hear two beeps. At this time the oven is ready.
