From your description, it sounds like one or more of the dryer drum support rollers are failing and in need of replacement.

See this link for a general description of the parts. You will need to have the exact model number handy for your appliance to obtain ther correct parts.

Machine fills, then on entering wash cycle makes loud grinding noise kinda like a dull hacksaw on rusty metal.

Does it make the sound when you turn the drum by hand? It could well be the drum bearings that have gone.

Bosch wfk 2800 drum makes a noise when turned around

When you rotate the drum by hand slowly does it feel bumpy and still make a noise? If so suspect the bearings on the drum to be the culprit. Hope this helps.

The drum all of a sudden started making making grinding noises, took out several dollars of change and other stuff, now drum will will not turn, belt seems fine, heat fine

Make sure with a manual movement of the hand that the drum is rotating and the motor is free.
now when the drum was struck did it cause any errrors in the motor orr the control board or a fuse tobeblown.
so checkthis out if the drumis free and the motor is not getting supply from the control board.
Check the safetydoor switch to latch for the unit to work, check if any wires were pulled off while you repaired the drain to cleanup.

When turned on, the drum makes a grinding noise as

The main bearing may be worn out at the back of the drum allowing the drum to wobble.Reach inside the drum and lift upward. If you can move it up and down this is probably the problem.

Drum breaks on 2008 Kia Rio 5 make a grinding/clicking noise when stopping i took off the wheel and turned the drum by hand and you can hear and feel a slight grind at one point in the rotation. How do i...

There are a couple ways. Sometimes the drum will have threaded holes in it in which case you just turn a bolt through the thread slowly until the drum begins to seperate from the hub.
Otherwise you can pick up a puller from your local auto parts store for about $10-15.
Good luck

Grinding noise from under tumbler

One of the retaining rings on the motor clamp/drum bearing assembly had probably broken, the machine must be taken apart to access to the motor/bearing assembly and fix the part.
The job should be done by a technician.

Using the machine in this condition can cause more damage to motor/ drum bearings.

Here is the diagram.

here you can buy the parts.

Screeching at spin cycle

There are a few things that it could be. The simplest is the fan which blows the air across the element is impinging on the back panel. This is relatively easy to fix, the fan is usually mounted directly driven from the back of the motor and held on by a spring washer or circlip.

Remove the back panel and rotate the drum by hand, you should be able to see the plastic fan catching on the metal of the back panel. A new fan costs very little and is very easy to replace with standard household tools.

Alternatively the motor bearings could be on their way out. This is more annoying to fix - get the engineer in for it. Again rotating the drum by hand, rock it back and forth you will feel a grinding transmitted through the belt (very worn bearings) or on the motor itself.

Grinding noise when drum rotates

may be a foreign object trapped in between the inner and outer tub. Major Disassembly required to split the outer tub. May also be the rear bearing in which case back half will have to be replaced.
