Cant thread cotton correctly resulting in top cotton bunching around bobbin on my elna carina su sewing machine

Hi. Correct threading of your machine is absolutely essential for flawless function. I would suggest starting fresh, removing upper thread completely. For correct function, every threading point needs to be passed in the correct order. Every hole or thread guide should have thread going through it. Use a tweezer and pass the end of the cotton through each point, paying special attention to the tension discs and take-up lever. Double check to make sure you have light but firm tension on the thread (having lowered the presser foot, because tension is released when foot is up). Rotate the hand wheel slowly in it's normal direction to check function before attempting to sew.

Thread and bobbin both threaded properly, but bobbin thread keeps knotting. sewing at top looks great but bobbin side is just knots!! I have a Euro-pro sewing machine.

Check that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder. The bobbin tension adjustment is the small screw in the plate on the bobbin case that the thread passes under as it comes off the bobbin and goes out.

It dose not sew, and when it dose the bobbin tangles up and lets out too much thread

The bobbin goes into the holder in what would appear to be the wrong direction ie, the thread doubles back. If this is correct, the bobbin tension might be too low, there is a screw on the bobbin holder to set the tension.

Thread at needle breaks when sewing.

most common problem is the quality of the thread, most sewing machines require quality thread or else it breaks especially if the material is thick or hard

My singer sewing machine how do I stop thread from breaking

a good sign when sewing is, when your thread keeps breaking, your needle usally has a spot on the tip and cuts your thread. If that doesn't solve it, it your timing in the machine. Also make sure your tension isn't too tight, that will also break your thread.

I have a model 605d ,the machine work fine except it will not sew! i look over the machine it look ok ! i am found out that top spool thread and the bottom bobbin thread are not coming together to sew!

You have to do the first stitch using the handwheel so that the top thread catches under the bobbin thread and then you can pull the top thread which will bring up the bobbin thread. put both threads to back of machine. Now you can sew.

Every time you re-thread you need to do this.

Sewing machine won't pick up bobbin thread

open the bobbin case and see if the hook is turning, if it is it is just a timing problem with the hook and needle, if it isn't tuning you may have a broken gear or timing belt.....It eill need to be looked at or adj by someone who repairs them....Daniel

With my K6 Industrial Singer sewing machine the top thread seems to be too tight. The bottom thread is looping too much on the top of the fabric. The timming is ok. I have checked and rechecked that I have...

Hello there, loosen your top thread tension,if it looping on top of the material the tension is way too tight, you will also find changing the thread size to smaller thread, the top tension will also reduce, depending on application a good size thread to use is 25 grade, bobbin tension should have just a slight amount of drag as the top thread and bottom work against each other when sewing.
