Gateway MT6451 When I press the power button it (the power button) lights up plus all the other lights but unit does not work, but you can hear the fan keep running on and off and the power button light...

Does the light associated with the hard drive flicker, stay on and then fade sometimes? If so - then the hard drive is working and the likely problem is a faulty screen. You can also try the function key plus whatever F key would increase screen brightness. (i.e. Fn + F7 on my machine.)

Orange light flickers 6 times green light the 7th

Hello there you can try this may work

Turn off the printer.
Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button.
While still holding the POWER button, Release the RESUME button, then press and release the RESUME button two more times in succession.
The printer mechanics will move momentarily. You are now in Service mode. Release the Power Button.
Pressing the RESUME key will select a function; for example, pressing RESUME 4 times will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will alternate color with each key press.
1. Service/factory test printout, including ink sensor check
2. EEPROM info printout
3. EEPROM initialization
4. Clear the waste-ink counter
5. Printer model setting. (more selections beyond this- leave this alone)
After selecting mode, press the POWER button to commit the change, and return to the top of the function selection menu. Pressing the POWER button again turns off the printer for a restart.

My emachine T1742 desktop will not turn on. When plugged in the power supply's fan turns on, cpu fan doesnt start, both hdd/power led's flicker and pressing power button doesnt power on/off system.

Disconnect all the devices from the computer(tower) including keyboard, mouse, monitor(everything)..even the power cable

Now keep on holding down the power button on the computer tower for 15-30 seconds..

Now release the power button, plug in the power cable, monitor, keyboard, mouse and turn on the computer...

If it works, great!!!

Otherwise, take it for repair..

Pc wont boot up, instead a red light flickers.

Flickering LED means power supply is overloaded with something. It might be inside of the supply, but sometimes it is something else. Try that:
1. Disconnect everything from the motherboard except power supply and power button;
2. Disconnect all power connectors from all drives;
2. Remove any cards from the motherboard so all you have is power supply and motherboard with CPU and RAM, nothing else. You can keep connected the monitor and keyboard;
3. Press Power button. Will motherboard turn on normally?

If no - check electrolytic capacitors especially around the CPU, if some of them are "popped" replace them.
If yes - connect drives and cards one per time to localize the problem.
