This is the T-con board that is upper-center of the tv as you are looking down onto it. It is small (only 8-10" across). When you have a white screen that is illuminated this will be the T-con board that needs replacement. You can no do component level repair on this. You will need to extract the old board and replace it with the exact same board. You can find replacements on ebay and and match the serial #s to make sure you get the correct replacement

When I turn on my tv the screen is white and nothing else happens.

This is a common symptom of a power supply failure on the TLA-01911c. The board has parts called capacitors that filter the output power and when they go bad the power supply does not power up right. The unit can either have no power, just a flashing power light, just a white screen or it could take a long time to show a picture. Here is a link to a repair guide that shows what to replace on the power supply board to repair the unit.

I hope this helps you get your TV bad up and running,

Blank White screen

A blank white screen is one of the symptoms of a failure in the power supply board. The power supply board is not putting out all of the correct voltages to power up the TV. These types of problems are caused by parts called capacitors. They filter the output power and when they die the power supply can not operate correctly. This is easy to repair if you can do a little soldering. Here is a link to a repair guide for this model.

I hope this helps get your TV back running,

My TV has a white/gray screen when I turn it on. I get nothing else, no sound either.

A white or gray screen usually means the power supply board is not functioning correctly. Below is a repair guide showing what to look for on your power supply board. Open the back of your TV and look at the power supply board as shown in the repair guide. If the capacitors are bulging on the top then they have failed and replacing them should get the board and TV back up and running. This is a very easy repair if you can do a little soldering.

I hope this helps,

The white screen and nothing else usually indicates a failure of the filter capacitors in the power supply board. When these capacitors go out the voltages are not correct so the TV can not power up right. You can rebuild the power board by replacing the bad capacitors and this should bring the TV back to life. Here is a link to a repair guide for this power supply board.

I hope this helps,

Polaroid TLA-01911C TV - I seem to have the same

You probably have a bad inverter PCB. It is a skinny board by itself over on the left side of the back of the panel.

Mitsubishi WS-65511 Rear Projection Big Box TV resets with a green flashing light every 5 minutes, Then works fine for 5 more minutes (perfect picture). Acts up worse when cold. Warm it up Works hours It's NOT the DM board caps. I've already replaced the DM caps twice. Not the problem. No repairman will look at the set. Too Old. So am I. I could repair it with help. The power supply must have a safety circuit that will shut down & reset if too much draw. I DON'T have a diagram. I'm not sure how to trace it . Which board? If I unplug boards one at a time, Will it damage other boards ? I know it is NOT the 7 DM board caps everyone keeps telling me. I see no burn't parts, No bulging caps. Tapping on components doesn't reset. What kind of component would act up when cold , But not overdraw when warm? This set has the best beautiful picture when it runs. If you can get past the resetting every 5 minutes for the first hour, You can watch it sometimes for 20 hours. I've left it on at night & it is still on the next morning. Change the channel Or raise the volume, And off it goes. Once or 10 times, Keeps resetting. Then on for 4 or more hours, Maybe. I can't afford a new one. It works GREAT ! when it works. I've notice that even when the set is turned off, The green light starts flashing (resetting itself while it's off) , Then stops. Once in a hundred times it will kick off the breaker & you need to push reset with a pin on the front panel next to the green light. It's probably a 10 cent resistor OR a $ 1.00 cap. If I only had someone with more knowledge than me to help. I know how to use a meter & read a schematic. I built a Heathkit 25"TV in the 70's & all my novice ham gear. I'm 64 & not familiar with digital circuits. Can someone help PLEASE ?
