I have a BYTECC BT-PCI-SATA 150 I/O controller card but it does not work with windows 7. Is there a driver available for this model?

I can't seem to find a product with the model number "BT-PCI-SATA" that you provided, on the Bytecc web site. You should shut off and open the computer and read the model info directly from the the I/O card to determine the exact model card you've got.

Once you which card you have, you can download drivers directly from Bytecc. There appears to be very limited support listed for both Vista & Windows 7 OSes however. If nothing else, you'll be able to download the latest version of the driver - that may support Windows 7 - without specifically stating that it does.

If you're trying to install Win 7 to boot from a hard drive connected to this controller, it may work if you supply the expanded driver on USB, floppy, etc. when prompted for a SATA driver. Bytecc only offers an email address for tech support, so you might want to send them a detailed note about the problem at: [email protected]

Hopefully, this helped - good luck!

I'm new to SATA technology. Need simple cable description help.

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps: Start > Run > type > regedit Locate the UpperFilters value under the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK. Locate the LowerFilters value under the same key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK. Quit Registry Editor.NOTE: After you remove the Upperfilters value and the Lowerfilters value, if you notice lost functionality in a particular program, such as CD recording software, you may need to reinstall that software. If the problem recurs, consult with the software vendor for assistance.

Ubuntu 8.10 wont detect my wireless card

You can try looking in the manufacturer website to see if they have made a driver for Linux. Actually, most Linux distros have a nice set of drivers, but not all hardware out there have good Linux support.Surprisingly, Ubuntu 8.10 detected one CompUSA USB wireless adapter for which they don't have the XP drivers.

I have a Belkin wireless notebook card which I would like to use with Linux Ubuntu.

can you get a model spec? ubuntu is one of the faster developing linux flavors out, but since the driver has to be written based on demand instead of just having it to have it (like microsoft), things dont get done. you can try looking for a hardware compatibility list (HCL) for ubuntu and see if that model wireless card will work with your linux. if not, you might just have to wait until someone develops the drivers for it.

let me know if this helps.
