Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
My red lamp light came on and my screen went black. After leaving the TV off for several hours and turning it back on the red light is off and the green light comes on and I only have sound for about a min. Then the red light comes back on and I have nothing.Do I need a new lamp or is this somthing else?
Thanks for all your help.

How much did that power board fix rub you?

I have the same problem on my WD-61525. I've just fixed it by replacing 2 capacitors on the power board (where the AC cord is connected to):
The 2 caps are: C9A38 and C9A37 3300UF 10V
I replaced them with 3300UF 16V
TV is back on normal. I did not replace the LAMP
The chassis has to be pulled out, the power board is in the back, you have to take out the board to replace the two caps.

If the lamp led is on you need the lamp, also could be bad ballast
