While running dishwasher the door clicks open and cycle stops. You have to try and push it closed. This could go on for the whole cycle. You have to keep pushing the door closed. I have washed dishes over night and get up in the morning and it has not finished because the door latch popped open. What can I do? The dishwasher is only 2 years old. This just started about a month ago. Thanks for your help. Melissa Williams

SOURCE: Bosch Dishwasher SHX46A latch stuck in down possition.

look at the latch via the hole in the door where it closes to the tank? is the latch faced away from the tank? if so, then grab a paper clip and fold it so you can hook it around the latch then just pull outward towards the tank. you might need to hold that paper clip with some pliers. if it happens more than once then you will need to replace that door lock.

SOURCE: Bosch dishwasher Water pump not stopping

Hi.

You need to replace the pressure switch located near to the pump, in the drain assembly.
The main function of the pressure switch is to turn off pump when there is no more water.
The pressure switch can be tested reading ohms on switch contacts and jumping the switch. This must be done by a technician.

You can get parts and a quote on repair calling Bosch at the number listed on the manual.

Regards.

There is a sensor thaat tells it if the door is open or closed and locked. Some go by water level some acually go by door. Check this or have it checked. Some times you can clean the sensor and it will work fine.

I have a SHU5305us/u12 and my front door lettering got erase. anyone have a picture or a manual that tells me what each button means.

Cycle Interruption

As a safety feature the dishwasher will automatically turn itself off whenever the door is opened. However, if the door is opened quickly while in a wash or rinse cycle some water may splash out of the dishwasher. For this reason it is recommended that the machine always be switched off before opening the door.

To Interrupt a Cycle

1. Press the on/off button to stop operation.

2. Wait at least 10 seconds (or until the water noises stop) before opening the door.

To Resume a Cycle

1. SHU/SHI models, close the door and press the on/off button.

2. SHV models, push the on/off button and close the door.

Changing a Cycle

For Bosch dishwasher models SHI 6800 and 4320, SHU 5300, 5310 and 6800 press the program button of the desired cycle TWICE. For all other Bosch dishwasher models, press the program button of the desired cycle ONCE. The chosen cycle button (or the light above it) becomes illuminated, showing that it has been selected.

* SHU 3030 and SHU 3130 models do not have program lights.

Cancelling a Cycle

Each control panel shows which buttons to simultaneously push to cancel a cycle. Refer to your dishwasher to find the cancel drain buttons on your particular model.

1. Press the indicated buttons at the same time and hold for approximately 3 seconds.

2. When the drain pump noises stop and the LED display or clean light indicate that the end of the cycle has been reached, the dish

washer is reset.

3. Press the on/off button to turn the dishwasher off.

4. The dishwasher is now ready to run a selected cycle. Add more detergent if necessary.

Frigidaire gallery dishwasher CL code

CL is a generic clear code. Reset the unit at the household circuit breaker for about 10-15 minutes, and then retry. If the same code comes up then you have a communication error with your main control board, and will require a repair.

I have a Bosch dishwasher purchased in 1996 or 97. The dishwasher stopped working part way through the wash cycle. The on/off light does not come on. The on/off light does come on, at times, when you...

It sounds like the problem maybe with the door lock circuit. This is a safety feature that is the door lock mechanism, it completes the circuit to allow the dishwasher to run when the door is locked. Reading your trouble note you state the light goes out when you attempt to close the door. Light out means there is no circuit through the door lock mechanism so the dishwasher will not work. Take a look at the lock with the door open, make sure it seats properly, though it maybe opened internally, this would require a professional to fix.

Fridgidaire FDB834RFS0 cycle will not start unless washer door is pushed in tightly, if I let go cycle stops.

The "Open" door sensor, isn't "Connecting" Unless it is close enough, IE: The door pushed in so that the sensor & activator are close enough to work., .The sensor has to be adjusted, or replaced if that's at all possible.

STOPS RUNNING IN MID-CYCLE

Try placing something like a chair with books or heavy objects on it in front of the door. Tip it with objects under the front legs and place objects on its seat until the pressure closes the door and the dishwasher starts. Put additional objects on the seat to insure vibration doesn't make the door pop open. If the cycle completes, the problem is probably the door switch. If not, the problem may be with the timer switch. If it's the timer switch the dishwasher will probably stop at the same position each time.
