Radio how can I get the code to unock my radio Hello, I am looking to get the code for the factory radio that came in my 2000 GMC Safari minivan, it seams to have turned off after I replaced the batery, now saying LOC, I guess it means I need a code to unlock the radio. Thank you

You HAVE to take it to a GM dealership, as each car has it's own code based on the VIN. Usually costs around $45-60.

1996 gmc safari minivan has multiple electrical problems wipers wont come on heater blower wont come on windows dont work radio does not work switch for rear passenger area lights not workin i think that...


on multiple problems the first thing to check is the grounds, you can have a different electrical lead to many circuits but they usually share a common ground,

Cd player in 2000 safari minivan doesn't work. when you put a disc in, it just sends it right back out


go to your local store and buy a can of compressed air for computers. stick it in your cd slot about 1'' and blow carefully back and forth. retry cd. if that dose not work the cd player is shot. stock players are to expensive to repair. find your self a nice aftermarket.

Try 0000 first and if that does not work, go to www.radio-code.com they should be able to get your radio working again. Good luck and let me if this helped.

The Dealership Parts Desk is the Best Place to get the Code. You will need your VIN and Possibly the Serial # Off of the Unit. It is on the Back part of the Unit itself. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
