If what you're looking for is the Regulator/Tank Hose Assembly, you can purchase that for any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills. They are pretty much a universal fii, but be sure to take your old one with you for comparison purposes of the hose length. A little longer is ok, but shorter is not.

If that's not what you're looking for, you can purchase replacement parts directly form Char-Broil.

Plastic knob on regulator is cracked causing gas leak where it attaches to LP tank. Needs replacement. Can I get a regulator/hose?

Hi kimandjimm...
You can use any generic hose and regulator assembly for your grill.
You can buy it online at: http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/gasgrillparts/brands/charbroil/charbroil-plumbing-valves.html
You can buy them at HomeDepot,Lowes,Ace Hardware, etc. Look in the grill section.

Full tank of gas, I do not smell or hear gas....like you normally do...have disconnected and reconnected hose.....still does not work....the only thing is, I am in Chicago and it's cold out....will that...

When you disconnected the hose from tank and waited 5 minutes, did you turn the tank valve ON VERY, VERY Slowly? If not, that's the problem.

One other thing might be, since you said you're in Chicago and it's cold out. The regulator on the hose may be frozen. In which case, soak a towel in hot water, ring it out and quickly wrap it around the regulator. If it is frozen it will thaw it out. Be sure the tank valve is ON when you do this.

Use of Charcoal or Lava Rocks in the Char Broil Patio Caddie?

LP grills are designed to use lava rock ONLY. Charcoal will clog the burners.

Char broil patio caddie, how many coals should it contain?

Your referring to the 'LAVA ROCK' which lines the botton grate. There should be enough to cover the grate 1 layer deep only.

Grill with a full tank of gas will not get hot

Low flame, low temperature, yellow flame: This has become the biggest problem with many grills these days and it's almost always because of the regulator (the funny UFO shaped thing on the gas hose). Regulators seem to be stickier these days and when they stick you don't get enough gas to generate a good grilling temperature. To get your regulator unstuck you need to release the pressure on it. Follow these steps exactly:
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the tank
  3. Open the grill lid
  4. Turn all control valves to high
  5. Wait for about a minute
  6. Turn all control valves to off
  7. Reconnect the gas line to the tank
  8. SLOWLY turn on the gas at the tank
  9. Light the grill normally
  10. Your grill should now heat normally
To keep the regulator from sticking again make sure that you turn off the control valves first, then turn off the tank valve. Always open your tank valve slowly. If this doesn't work give it a second try. If you still have low flame then you probably have a faulty regulator that will need to be replaced.
