You have a monitor with in-built VGA Port and you have laptop in-built VGA Port then why you are not using simple VGA cable to both port, Please don't use any other type to Adapter.
Off ur pc, and remove the vga cable connected to the system unit.
On the system unit without the cable, after it runs for sometime. Off it from the power button and fix the vga cable. Then cold boot your pc.
If it does comes back on by itself, make sure that the vga cable is properly connected on the vga port on your computer. Does the led light on the monitor turns from green to amber? if yes, check for connection cables and the power cable.
Please let me know how this goes. Thank you for using FixYa.
Check the VGA/ DVI cable connection from your Monitor to PC, this also could be caused by VGA card on you PC that doesn't work properly, unfirmed connected to its slot etc, check also for unfirmed connected memory card/ RAM.
Please check the vga connection cable. It may not connected to the computer. If you have dual monitor support (2 monitor connection on the PC) try other vga port.
First without connecting the external Monitor/TV Go to display properties and Lower down resolution then when you connect the TV press and hold the Fn key on the left bottom of keyboard between Ctrl and Alt and while holding FN ket down press Change monitor button ( Normally F5)( must be having 2 monitor kind of image printed on any of the function key) once then twice or thrice to shift between different options like display output on one monitor, 2 monitor, extended display etc.
Either the VGA cable (cable from your monitor to computer) or VGA port on your computer is faulty. Try connecting another monitor to your computer to determine the problem. If the other monitor works, then your VGA cable is faulty. If the other monitor doesn't work, the VGA port is faulty. Hope that helps.
It was pretty tricky without instructions but trial & error brought me to a successful resolution. This machine comes from the factory set to connect directly to a television with supplied RCA cable. Do that before you connect to a VGA monitor. Using the remote control, press setup and then go into "preferences" and look around for "video" and then to "VGA". Once you click "VGA" the TV screen goes frighteningly blank. The next obvious step is to hook it to the VGA cable and VGA monitor. If your computer is also hooked up and on to the monitor there is no karaoke picture. Shut off or disconnect computer and presto, there it is. <br> www.texsax.com
