If your washer act like it is not going through the cycles, you could be experiencing a faulty timer.

Solution, If you already have a voltmeter, trace and free motor leads from timer--prove them with your meter on ohms 2000. Look for a relatively high reading (usually 1,120 to 2000 ohms) indicating continuity. If reading is infinity, replace the timer mechanism.

Good luck.

I suggest going on the Whirlpool manufacturers website and check their forums for a similar problem. It could very well be something very easy to fix.

Why won't my Maytag Washer extract water properly from clothing after going through the complete cycle?

Belt tension spring faulty, belt loose. Pump partly blocked, look for coin caught in hoses. Internal clutch failed in gearbox, replace gearbox. Gearbox pulley wrongly adjusted, remove pulley, re-grease, re-install with correct clearance.

Does not clean

If the washer was made after 2010 its not going to get your clothes clean. washers made after January of 2011 have to meet certain energy standards and only use tiny amounts of water to clean the clothes. This is why I urge everyone to keep there old washer and fix it if you want your clothes swimming in water. Your probably better off washing them in the tub really....if the washer has a bulky cycle it should fill up full for that cycle only but if not your outta luck...

Washer not draining

Probably the pump filter needs cleaning.
It should be located at the bottom front of washer behind drop down cover, turn anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

My washer won't go through it's cycle. The door

If you do not have both hot and cold water lines hooked up, some cycles might not work. Also, if you put too many clothes in.

ASKO washer WL6511XXLPP

Purchased ASKO Washer WL6511XXLP and Gas Dryer with pedestals, 12/01/09. It threw a drum paddle during 2nd. wash cycle. Damaged several articles of clothing.
ASKO replaced the paddle 2/19/09 after a lot of phone calls (lip service from the ASKO 800 #). They claimed the part had to come from Sweden (reason for delay).
Washer threw another drum paddle during 4th. wash cycle. Damaged several more articles of clothing. We have made no claim for the damaged clothing, the retailer has been cooperative.

ASKO has promised to replace the washer after the retailer we purchased the washer from, strongly encouraged them to do so. We are still without a washer (03/23/09). My wife and I are retired, I am 76. Point being; we do not abuse washing machines and we don't like going to a launder-mat.
I know this is not the venue to address this problem, but am at my wits end.

My washer will not go to spin cycle,.

Hi my name is joyce,

first lets try to get the water out of washer, put on drain cycle, after it drains water out take clothes out of washer, then lets see if it will run on spin cycle, it may have to many clothes, if this does not help then you have a transmission problem, this will defenently need a technichan to look at it. if you need I can look in you area and see if I can find you some assistance.

Cloths Soaked after Spin Cycle

If the motor has a transmission, it could be stuck in 1st gear. I think the agitator running is normal.

Burly Bob,

Is this the same model as listed by the previous poster? If so, does the washer ATTEMPT to go into the spin cycle? That is, does the timer advance to spin cycle properly, and can you hear the transmission or drive motor engage?
