You're saying that the computer can't even recognize your camera when you connect it to your computers USB port? If that will be the case try connecting the camera on a different USB port on your computer or try to connect it to another computer so we can see if it will be working fine.

Hope that helps...........

Right click my computer. select manage, on the management window left side, select device manager, look for the camera on the right side and for any ! or ? marks.

let me know what do you see there, is the camera installed and working properly without any ! or ? marks.

    Do the following:

    • Unplug computer form power if it is a laptop also remove battery

    • unplug camera usb

    • plug back computer and restart.

    • Re install software from disk without connecting the camera.

    • If you have Vista you may need to run the install file clicking right mouse button on it and chosing "Run as administrator"

Sounds like you may have some corruption beginning on your hard disk - try running CHKDSK /F from an administratively-enabled command prompt. It will prompt you to reboot, then it will run a consistency check on the disk and its filesystem upon booting.

Vista is your problem. Solution...buy an inexpensive card reader to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can send the pics to your photo editing software.
