Does one600 polaroid camera needs batreries?

The battery is built into the photo pack and cannot be replaced separately. All Polaroid photo packs are now long out of date and most have flat batteries so are useless unless the camera is converted to accept an external 6v dc power supply.

Alternatively check out The Impossible Project for compatible alternative photo packs: monochrome only, just eight shots per pack and the images are unpredictable and tend to fade, but they're the only other choice if you don't want to convert your camera. The product is rapidly improving though and later this year the company plans to release colour photo packs as well.

I was wondering if about the flash feature.

Hi Amber,

Yes, you would need film. The film pack contains the battery that powers the camera.

For reference, see:

I wanted to ask a question. How does a Polaroid work?

Yes, the battery for these cameras is in the film pack. The idea was that you always get a fresh battery with fresh film.

The battery is built into the instant photo pack. So if there's no photo pack in your camera then it also has no battery at the moment.

Polaroid One600 Classic camera won't take pictures

Maybe battery is working but barely. Try using another film pack. Make sure usin a new film pack something like Impossible Project 600 Film packs.

Anyway unless you are a collector or it has some sentimental value I would move to one of these new Instant Cameras . These cameras work better and new Polaroid film and Instax film are way better. Twice or more cheaper too.
